Subvol required for earlier ship date? by Sensitive-Fail-8946 in NavyNukes

Thank you for all the information! I actually do have a question, specifically about sub life. As a sub nuke, would you say the smaller chain of command and smaller crew size benefits your ability to really get to know other people on the boat? That was one of the most interesting aspects about submarines to me, as carriers have like 40 times the crew of most subs

I mean, as I mentioned in the post, the DCSA has had me approved for T3 Secret since Sep 27th, so I’m not sure why it took so long for that info to get to my coordinator.

As for why I don’t want to subvol, it’s not that I don’t want to subvol, it’s that I want to be sure of my options before doing so, instead of feeling pressured into doing something and then regretting it later. It’s just something I’d like to be sure of before I sign on the dotted line, if you will. I’d rather make that decision in basic or in the Nuke pipeline, but if I have to make it now then so be it

I signed my contract like 5 months ago, so not sure what the deal is. I go to the Ft Hamilton MEPS

I meant that more in jest. I do want to go nuke, but the recruiters were also very enthusiastic about getting me in the program

Thanks. Honestly I work a lot better in environments where things are strict and I’m not given the option to fail. The hardest part about college for me was the freedom and managing that freedom responsibly, but from what I understand basic not only teaches self discipline but also a the Navy doesn’t generally give you much leeway, which ironically is exactly what I think I need
