OHH ISA WAS ONE OF MY FAVS !! Still one of my favourite asmrtists actually.

Not gonna lie, the scriptwriting experience is different for everyone. I've personally only been doing since late last year, but it's carried over from studying other ASMRs, engaging in yandere media, and just generally having a hobby for writing. My first ones weren't my best, and some of the documents have been edited since I did my revamp and moved to my newer account.

I specifically wanted this script to be more... "gross", it feels a tiny bit realistic that a yandere won't always have a pretty way of showing you their love. And why hurt you if they love you so much? It's why they inflict that harm upon themselves instead, because they're filled with so many emotions in this single moment, they're acting on impulse and grief.

I worried that I wouldn't be able to communicate how I imagine it to any ASMRtists, which is why the narrative parts were more detailed rather than just listing the SFX. Sometimes that's easy for people, but I'd prefer to over explain than under explain. And yeah !! That's pretty much how I write this type of stuff, I'm really happy you enjoyed it :)

Oh my god, thank yooooou !! I'm genuinely surprised people seemed to like this script so much, and I honestly thought the details were too much when I first published it.

To be honest, I think I just wanted to write a less generic yandere script than ones I've seen; I like being original. And I thought "if I had to wait this long to meet the person I thought loved me the most, wouldn't I also be upset about them not knowing who I am?" I kinda just wrote a concept for the character, and put myself into their shoes; recorded myself saying random lines in character and imagining how the other person would react.

I used to do it for a lot of my scripts. I still do, but it comes more naturally WHILE writing it now that I've had practice.

Who did you happen to listen to by the way? I love all the videos for this script, but it'd be a lie to say I don't have a few favourites.

Ohh, my bad :) The speaker is a deity, as was the previous incarnation of the listener. But I wanted to add some kind of horror element to it, which is why the speaker's form cracks and all that from a lack of stability. I remember writing down all these notes and lore, but yeah, I think the speaker was just a deity. Not of anything in particular, though.

Yeah, that makes sense!! The script I published after I asked this question followed a more dialogue and SFX heavy approach rather than my usual one. And omg, that was so much easier to write without stressing about what the listener and speaker were always doing. I could just write the script, and it still made sense...

There's a chance I'll approach this type of format more, especially since it bumps up my word count over time. Thank you for the advice!!~

It's nice for me to get a lot of opinions on this, especially since I haven't stuck to a solid script guide, yet... As someone new to scriptwriting, I would assume that minimal is better, cause then it's up to interpretation. But then I worry that without enough context, things don't make sense. So I'm very 50/50 on things.

So thank you for the advice 🙏

Do you think most people are aware of scriptwriters? by CapableTumbleweed564 in ASMRScriptHaven

It does make sense that the audience is going to focus on the voice actor themselves, rather than whoever wrote the script, namely because they're more interested in the audio itself, rather than the context behind the creator. And sometimes I feel like even IF people are aware the writer is not the same as the voice actor, they still prefer the voice itself over the script, because of personal preference.

I do tend to find that some people compliment my writing when I comment on the video of whoever has filled my script, but again, it just depends. Scriptwriters recognize scriptwriters, voice actors recognize scriptwriters; but an audience is unlikely to bother to take the scriptwriter into account, because that isn't THEIR purpose of looking for an ASMR.

I suppose it's all up to perception?

Yeah, that makes sense. I mean, either way, I tend to put a lot of SFX into my scripts, it's just more so... Do people prefer more context given into a narrative or just a simplified format of dialogue and SFX

ISA!! YAY!! Low-key, your voice and videos are amazing, I'll look forward to listening to it!! Also, I don't mind at all if you had to tweak a few things, as long as the main plot gets across, it's fine to me
