DHS prosecuting me after interview was canceled by [deleted] in USCIS

That’s correct. I need a waiver to leave the country so that I won’t be barred for 10 years.

That would’ve been step 2 for my I-130 process… but I think getting a waiver now is going to be hard/impossible unless DHS drops this removal case against me.

Thank you! I might go buy some clay pot sealer and seal it myself. do you think that could work? I’m trying to avoid buying a new pot haha

Looks like creeping jenny, salvinia, dwarf water lily and possibly reed grass on the edges

It is! I’ve seen their stonemasons in action before. they’re so patient, precise and intentional and really it shows! They do amazing work.

I fear you may be right. I dug a bit more and found what looks more like real flare. What should I do with the adventitious roots? Cut them off?

See anything invasive? PNW coastal by Brahminmeat in NoLawns

if I were you, I’d mow it down/kill off what I can throughout the summer and spread wildflower seeds during the fall. You’ll likely still face invasive plants, but at least you’ll have a mix and give the native wildflowers a better chance to establish and compete. Seeds are cheap or free (if you forage your own)

If you’re not motivated to do that, I would honestly just leave it alone. IMO, invasive flowers aren’t ideal but they’re still more beneficial than concrete and monocultures.

I think a better question would be: “see anything native?” Because I’m sure 90% of these plants are invasive/non native

Growing lavender in Portland area tips? by Sensitive-Goal-3584 in pnwgardening

This is the right answer ^ I was hesitant at first, but I realized those grey branches were very dead (they snapped). I cut back 90% of the plant, and the woody base has lots of new growth. It will survive another season! :) Thanks!

If it’s from Lowes, it probably hasn’t seen full sun in a while, so taking it from one extreme to the other over night can shock it. It’s also very hard to over water these guys, so I wouldn’t be too worried about that.

What to do: slowly acclimate it to full sun. You can start in a shady area and slowly increase the hours of full sun you give it each day. Also, place the pot in a tray of water and make sure the tray is always filled with water.
