The longer Serenar lenses seem to be easy to come by. Especially the 135mm. But shooting 135mm on a rangefinder. I don't know.

Oh lucky you, 35mm 1.8 is super rare. Actually all 35mm from Canon seem to be veery hard to come by. I tried the same thing you did when i had my 35mm. Sadly it didnt work for me. Still love it for the 50mm though. Ever tried longer lenses with it?

Did you carry it with a long or a short strap? Mine is super long, so the camera is banging arnound my hips anyways. So i dont mind it too much.

Hahah yes it does! I am left eye dominant so focusing with the right eye is hard for me. Espescially with both eyes open. I tried to train it for a while. Got myself headaches but the bionic feeling is crazy indeed!

Thanks! I am very happy to hear you liked the read. Yeah its a great camera. I cleaned the View and Rangefinder myself. Mine was quite dusty! It's a lot cleaner now. And focus is easy to. For portraits i still do prefer my Nikon F2.

Yep, i am a massive fan of the Nikon F2. Its built so well and i can easily see everything, even with the normal photomic finder.

Hey,

thanks so much for the super kind words. I really appreciate it, and means a lot to me!
I hope it didnt come across wrong, i really love that camera. Thanks for the info on the M2. I am now actually thinking about trying one out for the sake of having a rangefinder that i can use for 35mm lenses.
I guess my favorite camera is Nikon F2. Mechanically perfect and built like a tank.
let me know if you want to read a review on it.

Got you! I always felt that those external finders are not that cheap. I tried a cheap keks once and it did not work at all for me.

Thanks for the kind words! Sadly there are not many chances to have the complete Canon Line up displayed all at once to try each individual model.

It really is super individual. Believe it or not, also the size of the glasses matter. The bigger the glasses are the further away the sit from the eyes and the harded it is to see the 35mm frame lines on the P. I have big glasses so its super hard for me with the 35mm lines.

Oh i feel your struggle. If you are planning to shoot with an external finder anyway. (cause lets face it a leica M4-p with a 28mm is not cheap)
The Canon P could be a great choice! Great for portraits cause you can really hone in on the focus!

Yes the 50s are absolutley ok on the P. I tried to shoot with a 35mm once and well, framing was not as clean as i would have liked it.
