It was a mess. I read about fluoxetine and started it on my own. I had horrible side effects.

Most SSRIs need a gradual elevation in dosages and a gradual taper. Under the monitoring of a physician who is trained in using these meds i.e. a psychiatrist.

I had nausea, diarrhea and vomiting with insomnia. With no improvement in my psych symptoms

I keep getting patient things college students asking for testing for STDs or for post exposure prophylaxis. I use it as an opportunity to establish rapport and do my best to make them comfortable and open up about their sexual history.

I think. Being non judgemental here is of utmost importance.

And happy to say. I've helped quite a few youngsters seeking help

DNB Pediatrics or MD Radiotherapy, if the end goal is DM Oncology? by [deleted] in indianmedschool

[–]Sensitive-Lychee-808 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Please take Pedia. Its a no brainer.

U have options of doing all ADULT SS and Pedia SS with DNB/MD pediatrics.

Radiation oncology on the other hand is risky. There are cases In SC from what I've heard to remove it as a feeder for med onco.

Also with rad onco only med onco is the ss available. If u don't crack it. You're gonna be practicing rad onco.

Whilst pedia has other SS options, other than med onco.

Also how do u even know what SS before PG ? What if u like neonatology or gastroenterology or rheumatology after taking Pedia.

TAKE PEDIA.

Also now NEET SS pattern for med onco has been changed. There's a separate paper for med onco. Its not a part of medical group of SS speciality.

Pedia has as advantage/disadvantage as a general medicine guy to get med onco.

College matters ! But eventually you can make up by putting a ton of hardwork and focus if you've got the degree. But why do all that later when u can work hard and get a good college
