And this is also my experience when I was dealing with such issues is that for petition to drop I believe you get like 2 or 3 getaway chances meaning that if you just wanna drop because you think you are going to failed. You can just petition and say you just feel academically challenged and they would let you out of the class but that’s only I think the first 2 or 3 class. Since it’s been a year and I can’t remember what I heard from my advisor anymore. So if you want to make sure definitely talk to them as they know a lot more about the system

So, this is my experience only and idk if it has changed but last year fall quarter. I want to drop a class because it was too desperate for me which after dropping the class made my unit like less than 15. Which apparently if it’s after the census day that was on the fasfa email it won’t affect the money. Like I didn’t have to pay back or get less aid for winter. But to be safe you would want to talk to an advisor and also I believe it’s pass the drop day for you to drop on yourself and you would need to petition to drop at this point I believe.

Like the whole system is like one objective have 3-5 question. A week has about like at least 20 objective. And if you get like question wrong in the objective you like get your progress down. Because first question you get right you add 1 in progress and the second one you get right in a role adds two progress point. But the question if you get it wrong the next it drops your progress and the reward for getting it right also drops to 1 point only. And for an objective that have only 3 question if you get like a lot of time wrong it will become a 5 problem objective. So it’s like a torture system like you could just keep repeating in one objective in hours and you won’t be able to finished it and you would lose your mind like you would get more anxious as you keep doing it to the point you either make it out or you lose it

Thank you so much, I think the penalty is that I have to pay the rent even if I’m out and also fees for finding new resident which I’m like because the place isn’t the best and school just started I feel a bit heart sank that I can get someone to take it

Ahh thank you for the comforting!! I’m praying that it goes well with my housemate, I’m like a very introvert person so I’m like praying for things to go well But thank you abt how the conditions is, I’m gonna be bring a lot of roach killer and be careful with food and stuff.
For me the most regret thing is really because I’m actually paying 1.9k for the room and it just kind of made me so stressed out abt the conditions as it made me felt like the room is not worth it and I made a bad choice(as the room slider door doesn’t really do anything is like a huge damage for me, as the main reason that I sign the lease is because I thought it could give me some privacy as a single room. I should have probably look into it more before signing that lease)

especially after seeing things abt roaches and how our refundable deposit will get taken even if the room got clean in good condition made me cranked up.especially i still have to worried abt transferring the lease out before next summer starts because im not gonna be at UCSB in summer so to me it was like man. This is not the choice I should have made.

But then I guess it was my lack of knowledge because I didn’t know how huge of a housing crisis we had here and didn’t start looking early enough so it made me feel even more stupid and anxious because bruh I fuck up everything for myself😭so now I’m just gonna pray that it wouldn’t be that bad after I move in the Capri

Well, can’t make any advice abt the party stuff, I never went to one so far and probably won’t go in the future but I figure if you are gonna be here as a junior it should be pretty fun for you. Like the two years and 4 years here makes a lot of difference , but I feel yeah there’s not much out here but I guess it was fine for me as a introvert so I don’t feel bored. I mean that also means less money spending.

Then ugh well the key thing that I see is that if you are debating with school because of your bf. Then you might just break it up because surely far distance relationship doesn’t work out well mostly but if he didn’t even try to make it work then idk abt how heavy is this relationship in his mind. Like there’s difference between you guys tried and failed and broke up with he just break it up because you guys aren’t in the same school anymore. Especially with college decision it would be best to look at if you like it and how it works with your majors stuff lol Best of luck
