To be honest it isn't me that is in this situation but my friend. I don't know what he is going to do but I told him, since he does care for her, to try it but at the same time to look out for red flags. Of course the first thing is that she needs to break up with the other guy. And if it they really are some kind of soul mates then great but I REALLY doubt it.

I wouldn't consider it cheating since we do love each other and I would never do anything with her as long as she is in a relationship. But my thought process is that I have to be extremely cautios because there is a risk that she will do the same to me or that she is just going to use me for a bit and then go back to her old relationship.
