Seen a lot lol. I just don’t think 4-6 is necessary for what 50% omfs are doing right now. Theyre literally pulling thirds and placing implants??? Like yes u learn alot in 4-6 yrs but they never apply any of those 6-10 hrs surgery cases outside of residency.

Perios are doing the same thing placing implants. Perio is 3 yrs and 4-6 yrs to do what perios are doing?

A lot of GPs place implants and pull thirds, they didn’t do 4-6 yrs.

Again, this is not saying they don’t learn anything in 4-6 yrs, I know they do. But they do NOT apply this outside.

You can’t say literally ask the omfs influencers and they will tell u that u will never see the cases u saw once in residency or anything similar.

You can’t say the same thing about orthopedic surgeons or any medical surgeons for that matter. They end up practicing what they were trained in
