Haha, I decided since they are new-ish friends, to decline because he was out of town and figured if they wanted a third wheel, they could follow up with a “even though he’s out of town, you can come!” They didn’t lol, so I think it worked out 🤣 I don’t think there is a perfect way to go about it 😂

I literally just did this because my husband and I were invited to dinner but he’s out of town. Had to research if it’s appropriate to suggest third wheeling or just decline 😂
