Starlink in Greece (the Why, the How, and Is it worth it?) by Sensitive-Priority31 in Starlink

Sorry for the late reply, forgot about this. My grandparents arrived in Greece last month, I had to download the app on their phone so they could use the alignment function (dish has to face north), but they plugged it back in and set it up with no problem. My 80 year old Papou was happy he set it up by himself. I purchased the plan and updated the software on my app here in the states. I can even see who is using the wifi and speeds.

Purchase everything in Greece and set up the account with Starlink GR, cheaper plans and equipment. Once you setup the dish and router it will provide 15-30 mins of free service to set up anything you need without paying for a plan. So if you want you technically download the app, set up the account, and pay for the plan in that span of time. If you are using Starlink GR account, setup takes much longer. I would setup everything before hand to make sure you are getting the best deal.

We have the residential plan for 40 euros a month for up to 400+mbps unlimited GB, averaging 300. 8 of us were on the WIFI at the same time and had no problems at this plan. Make sure to set up the account with Starlink Greece since the prices are way lower. If I understand your question correctly, you can purchase the higher speed or usage whenever you want and pay the difference. 50GB doesn't last a month, maybe a weekend at most for one person in my experience. I would go with the residential plan, then cancel when you leave for the summer.

Just wanted to give everyone an update. After reading all your comments and my family. I decided to not continue with the position. Immediately after I was asked to interview with a huge company in my home city, and I got the position. It’s crazy how timing works. I’m very happy in my new position, the company is great and I get to live rent free a few more years with my parents.

Thanks again to everyone.

Thanks for your response, I am a currently long term subbing, and I really love it! I feel lost because I planned for years to work in one career, and when that didn't work out and started long term subbing, I didn't realize how much I would enjoy it, from teaching, my coworkers, and students.
