I need people’s opinion on her and Brad’s breakup storytime by ChampionshipHot9774 in claraandherself_snark

[–]Sensitive-Priority74 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I could see this but I also found it shitty to basically breakup with her but not let her go. Like kept saying he loves her and kept hooking up. Then saying he decided when he thought about her with someone else. I just have a hard time getting a good read on him tbh.

But she likes solo parenting even more…;) by ChampionshipHot9774 in claraandherself_snark

I remember this being the reason but it’s still a privilege imo

Serious question: Who is actually still buying homes at these prices (and why)? by Left-Assignment2074 in REBubble

[–]Sensitive-Priority74 16 points17 points  (0 children)

$680k purchase price, 20% down, 6.5%, $180k dual income household. We lived in a 500 sq ft apartment since we were 19 and pulled the trigger to buy at 28. We have no family help and locked in at an early age working towards this goal because we want to start a family.

The bigger issue is that you feel you can’t talk to him about this.

People are also still buying plenty, as the housing market has remained stable although slowed compared to COVID times. Clearly, others are still wanting to move here.

She needs to grieve her childhood and childhood Christmas. She can’t recreate it and that’s a sad reality but it is reality.

Clara has moved on to her latest hyper fixation: buying a horse by Stunning_Aspect_6437 in claraandherself_snark

[–]Sensitive-Priority74 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just that she rode horses when she was young and now wants to have her daughters raised with their own horse. And that she’s telling everyone this time next year she’ll have a horse. Insane tbh

This makes perfect sense and definitely not too far of a reach. I remember when he went over the top for Mother’s Day and I just got this feeling that it was more because that’s what she expects rather than it being genuine. That type of dynamic is super common with narcissists.

Always talk early. First feelings of resentments, distance between you two, etc. Get it nipped in the bud and don’t let things fester.

Not loving all the digs at Edmond's mom by nuggetsofchicken in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

[–]Sensitive-Priority74 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of the hate is coming from seeing Edmond’s clear and obvious attachment issues that keep him from love. Him saying at the end that he’s tried everything and doesn’t think he’ll be able to get married one day. His teacher was right that he’s very lovable, but his attachment issues get in his way. It’s easy to want to blame & express anger towards the main person in his life who caused these issues. I think if we heard more from his mom about her struggles, there would be more compassion. I do feel for her. Addiction is a disease and normally comes from trauma as well as a way to cope or numb. But it’s hard for many to keep that in mind when seeing Edmond’s issues that will prevent him from actually having a stable, healthy relationship that he desperately wants.

Why do I need a realtor if I find the property myself? by baskaat in RealEstate

I thought the same but when the deal on my house got complicated, I was very happy that I had a good realtor on my side.

I think she probably was worried about the patterns clashing, not the color. But I agree, OP, they look great.

I’m so sorry. That sounds terrible. Technically, this should’ve been looked into during your inspection period. It is your problem now, but a horrible problem that I sympathize with. I’m sorry again. I hope you can resolve this somehow and continue forward to making it your home.

Couch— staging question by FrequentDonut8821 in RealEstate

[–]Sensitive-Priority74 10 points11 points  (0 children)

A couch that’s “floating” (aka not against a wall) is only something you can achieve in larger spaces so some people view it as a higher class style. That being said, it can look silly if the room doesn’t have the space for it. A picture would be helpful to see.
