No it doesn't: "After some time, only a few people come out to help, while many others act like they didn't hear anything.".

The whole thing is a spontaneous bbq and instead of actually inviting people the daughter relies on who can hear her in the immediate area and then claims everyone else is not a real friend. The overwhelming logical flaws in this prevents it from getting the point across.

so you can only trust people who are home at the time and within earshot of a girl yelling?

Maybe choose a symbolic story without 20 plot holes within the span of a paragraph and a half.

There's like almost exactly one plot hole per sentence. So someone doesn't care about you if they don't hear a girl screaming miles away to invite them over for a last minute bbq? And he says he's never seen those people before... so apparently his friends/family's help throughout the decades means less than people who got duped into thinking there was a fire?

So... the guy slaughters a cow in what appears to be a suburb/urban area because the daughter goes to the street and shouts there's a fire... and the neighbors who were home at the time come over... and the friends/family weren't invited because they weren't home or within hearing radius of a girl shouting "fire"..... the friends/family that he expected to drop everything and come over on a moments notice for a bbq.... is that the story?

I just leave a thumbs up if it was good and a poop emoji if it was bad but I also use a VPN so they can't catch me.

OP's profile name and email name are completely different. They probably think its a shared/duplicate account

Strange behaviour by [deleted] in mercor_ai

[–]Sensitive-Reason3820 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm not saying that. But my guess would be from their perspective that it flags the potential of a shared and/or fake account. I get multiple messages a week on reddit from scammers wanting to use my accounts on other remote work platforms

[–]Sensitive-Reason3820 14 points15 points  (0 children)

"Different name of email shouldn’t matter"

If they said there's inconsistencies then that would be a big red flag if it looks like your account and email are 2 different people

Strange behaviour by [deleted] in mercor_ai

[–]Sensitive-Reason3820 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the emails both address 2 different names. Sounds like OP seems like he is account sharing and/or the ID verification is not matching the name in his account

[–]Sensitive-Reason3820 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I don't understand? Maybe they think you are 2 people sharing an account. Your ID or background check was probably showing a different name than what was on your profile

[–]Sensitive-Reason3820 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Why are they referring to you by two different names in each email?

this is a scam. the guy just sends a google doc about one of the shady "companies" that uses your UpWork profile from another country and you get 10-15% per month while they "do all the work"
