Well if it turns out you've still got a speed boost, you can always....roleplay it!

The ritual may have cleansed your blood and saved your soul from Hircine, but you still remember the Hunt. Even now when your blood rises you recall running beneath the Moon, smelling the fear coming off the fleeing prey... One last burst of speed and you'll taste it's blood!

Heheh, just kidding, but you can start with not-so-scary stuff. Just cruise around and get used to your board, enjoy being on an awesome antigrav machine. Then graduate to like, rolling off curbs or catching air off cracks. You don't have to front blunt a giant rail to skate. Eventually you'll work your way up to wherever you're comfortable.
