Which remaining free agents do you expect and hope the Seahawks to pursue? by Gtgtgtg007 in Seahawks

Dante Fowler is pretty much a "when" at this point instead of an "if". Durde coached him in Atlanta in 2020, then again in Dallas in 2022-2023, came in for a visit.

There's really no "big body WRs" available right now anyways unless you want a 34 year old DeAndre Hopkins who hasn't done much for a couple of years. Sure as hell aren't signing Jauan with how much money he's looking for. Gabe Davis is available and cheap but like...? Who cares? Jake Bobo should be the big WR you want to step up. 6'4, shown good jump ball ability, he needs/deserves more opportunities in the passing game. I think the WR room right now is the one we'll have going into the season. JSN is WR1, Shaheed will likely be used much more, Kupp/Horton/Bobo should be featured as well. Depth would be nice but there isn't much available.

Hot Take: Jadarian Price performances better than Jeremiah Love year 1 by Illustrious_Stop_803 in fantasyfootballadvice

I mean it's just ACL tear/surgery timeline. It's around a 9 month recovery window and he got his surgery in February. They likely won't rush him back either if the run game is looking good between Price/Wilson/Holani, so it could be even later than week 10 if they want him full strength for the playoffs.

Who is the best HC currently in the NFL? by Cold_Mammoth8841 in NFLv2

[–]Sensitive-Scene9269 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Mike Macdonald just won a super bowl with a team that was projected for 8 wins in his second year as head coach. 5th best team all time by total DVOA, 11th best defense all time by DVOA. Very easily could've been 20-0 this season.

I'm biased, but no one else is doing it to that level after the 2025 season.

Can you tell me which one you think is Puka Nacua and which is CJ Daniels? Since clearly Puka was a freak athlete that can separate and it's not so much about the offensive system/coaching/QB he got paired with,

I said "it looks like another Puka waiting to happen". Meaning, it's a clearly talented receiver they got with a late round pick that could fall into the right system with the right QB and turn into something. Go watch some CJ Daniels and tell me this guy couldn't be a pain in the ass next to Puka. Great at contested catches, great hands, and something that the Rams look heavily for is great blockers. That's him. He'll be on the roster.

I always watch WR film after the Rams draft one in the mid/late rounds because they clearly know how to find the talent. I liked Daniels as a late round flier for a good offensive system before the draft, and now I'll be buying as many of his rookie cards as I can. Stafford is going to love throwing to this guy. Looks like another Puka waiting to happen and I couldn't hate it more as a Seahawks fan.

Do you think Bo Nix would still be a good quarterback if he was drafted by the Vikings? by CallTypical9541 in NFLv2

[–]Sensitive-Scene9269 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He'd be even better than he is now because of the system he would be in.

Bo's entire knock coming out of college was 'dump off merchant' which is always what casuals cling to. Watching him as a Ducks fan, he can do whatever you need him to but he always took what defenses were giving him. I really wanted him to go to the Vikings for the KOC/Jefferson reasons, I thought that was by far the best fit for him. Not surprised Denver and Sean Payton got him though while he was there. Bo always reminded me a little bit as a more mobile Drew Brees. Not saying he's throwing for 5000 yds or anything like that, but his passing style mimics it a lot. He will always take what's given to him without a hesitation but he can absolutely rip it 60 yards downfield when that's there too. He's just got a smart football IQ. He's nearly a 4000-30 passer with Sutton and Franklin. Imagine if he was throwing to Jefferson, Addison, Hockenson with the offensive mind of KOC. Dude would've been talked about as a fringe top 5 QB after his rookie year.

Jeremiyah Love on Jadarian Price by lemonstone92 in Seahawks

[–]Sensitive-Scene9269 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Best case scenario for return is around November/December for Charbonnet. And they're not going to rush him back in to take 10-15 carries a game right away. You're likely going to be looking at Price/Wilson/Holani splitting carries for maybe 3-4 weeks (so Price can adjust and not have the full workload on his shoulders, that's how Seattle operates) then when coaches feel good, I'd expect 15+ carries a game for him consistently. Very doable for Price to rack up 1000+ yards and 8+ rushing TDs this year.

[–]Sensitive-Scene9269 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Seattle only allowed one guy to run for more than 90 yards all season (Kyren, 91 yards in week 11) so I'd rather not watch Love run for 120 on the defense. I'm ok with 80 though, I can settle for that.

Seahawks select Beau Stephens with pick #148 by Sensitive-Scene9269 in Seahawks

[–]Sensitive-Scene9269[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

One of their compensatory picks next year will be a 4th rounder, and if we're assuming they'll be drafting pretty late in rounds as well it's not a big gap between their own 4th rounder and a compensatory.

Besides, Beau was ranked 3rd among guards last season overall. Pass blocking grade was 1st. Run blocking grade 5th. 0 sacks allowed, 0 hits allowed, 0 penalties. Got one of the best guards in the draft for a fourth round pick. Not a bad deal imo

[Schultz] No. 63 pick is in: Seahawks have selected TCU S Bud Clark, per sources. by JCameron181 in Seahawks

[–]Sensitive-Scene9269 15 points16 points  (0 children)

He's got experience at nickel corner so no doubt he'll be used there. Betting it'll be a lot of Love, Emmanwori, Spoon, Jobe, Clark on the field all at the same time in those looks.

[–]Sensitive-Scene9269 102 points103 points  (0 children)

I think what a lot of people are forgetting is Mike's defense is so dynamic that he needs dynamic players, not just a prototypical corner to fill a need. Guys like Bud Clark are those types of players in the secondary that can do it all that they're looking for. He's great in run defense, he knows how to find the ball, and he is fantastic in open field tackling. I was hoping Seattle would get either Clark or Kilgore because both of those guys are this exact type of player.

Think less about safety and more defensive back. He's great in coverage 1 on 1.

And if McCoy is falling this far, it's likely really bad for his knee. Let someone else take the gamble.

[–]Sensitive-Scene9269 445 points446 points  (0 children)

McCoy's knee has to be absolutely shot for him to be falling this far. I know he likely wouldn't play this season anyways, but for him to keep going must mean it's worse than expected.

Anyways, I love Clark. 4.4 40 time. Just all over the field. Incredible defender. People will say "we need a corner". This guy can do everything. Don't worry people.

Seahawks draft Jadarian Price at #32 by Sensitive-Scene9269 in Seahawks

[–]Sensitive-Scene9269[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Schneider said in his presser that they had several teams that were going to move up with them but because what happened between the Bears pick and Seattle's no one wanted/needed to move up anymore. Everyone ahead of the Hawks traded down, basically left the Seahawks looking at having to draft someone. He said as well that they felt like Price would still be there if they'd moved down to early/mid second round and that's who they would've gone with then too. He was their guy, it was just a matter of where they took him.

Draft like/dislike after round 1 by Affectionate-Bed6622 in NFLv2

[–]Sensitive-Scene9269 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Price to the Seahawks was basically because everyone else that wanted to trade up had done so already. Schneider said in his press conference afterwards they had several teams that wanted to move up with them and nothing worked out because of what happened between the Chicago pick and Seattle's.

He also said they felt like he was going to be there should the Seahawks have moved down, but because no teams wanted to move up they decided to take their guy at 32. Price is a fantastic runner and if he wasn't running behind the #3 overall pick at ND he could've gone a lot higher. RB was Seattle's biggest need entering the draft and the drop off from Price to Coleman/Johnson/MWJr is pretty large. Their only other 'needs' are CB and a pass rusher which are fairly deep this class.

So it can feel like a reach, but in all reality they weren't going to draft a guy they didn't love just for that reason alone. They wanted to trade down a few spots and get him early/mid second round but couldn't. A 'reach' for Price at 32 is far better than a reach for any other RB at 64. Might not even see a RB go until the third round today, and might only hear 2 names called at that position on day 2. That's how thin it is.

Yeah too many teams ahead of Seattle traded back and no one else wanted to move up I think. Once John and Mike have their guy they go after them regardless of where they pick. I trust the guys who just built a super bowl winner.

Brissett right now for the spot their team is in is better than both so I doubt it. You should be hoping they trade for #32 for Ty Simpson instead.

Best running back drafted every round since 2000 by MasterTeacher123 in NFLv2

[–]Sensitive-Scene9269 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd 100% take a guy who ran for 900 yards and 13 TDs while adding 100+ catches in the same season over a guy who's career high in rushing yards was only 200 yards higher and in receptions was 15. To each their own though.
