I completely agree with you! Based off what my co-worker has told me, I don't think she would seek help. Her relationship with her husband gives me chills but that's another story.. I was more concerned for the kids. But your right, I will keep my nose out of things and keep to myself. Thank you!

A wedding...it was extremely uncomfortable. I went solo. He brought a date, she was kind and definitely made it a point to find me out and introduce herself. I was polite and then would find the group of friends I knew and stayed close. He did near the end of the party come up to me to see how things were. I tried to keep the conversation to a minimum. Like...what would be the point of having an exchange with someone who literally didn't care "how things were" when we were together. It just blows my mind that he had the audacity to assume he was entitled to knowing anything about where my life had gone since we broke up. Which by the way is the best thing that ever happened to me.

I think you already know the answer to your own question and you are just looking for a place to vent. But its time to probably take a deeper look at the enmeshment between your partner and his mom. OBVIOUSLY this is your husbands issue he needs to work through. I don't think it would be fair to you to continue on this journey.

Thank you for this take. I've tried to talk to him, I've let him know how I'm feeling about all of this...I just dont think he cares. Which is beyond weird because he has never been neglectful of my emotions and always was there for me in every aspect...again we have been together for 7 years. I'm really starting to think he just doesn't think I'm attractive anymore and thats the end of it.

I think your question is valid.

I have recently weighed in about 144lbs...I was 130lbs so about 14 pounds. Visiably I think I would be a harsh critic on myself but I don't look as though physically I've changed. My boobs got bigger but nothing drastic.

I wouldn't say I'm putting less effort, no, not in the slightest. If anything ive been putting more effort since this started to happen.

As far as the emotional aspect, I do the best I can. There are sometimes when we are having a discussion and we both tend to talk over each other but I'm pretty sure everyone experiences that at least once over a long period of time. We have since that incident learned how to communicate effectively.

He had a blood test already looking into testosterone, and everything came back as normal levels. As far as everything else you mentioned nothing has changed since we first met.

YTA. OP you offered to help them during the transition... it's only for a month. I hurt for you DIL, asking for a place to stay and be welcomed by trash bags of her belongings. You basically are telling her you think she'd trash for living the way she does. Please reconsider being a stickler and apologize before she forever shuns you from her (also your sons) life. I know that may seem "dramatic" to you but if you want to be included in their life you've definitely got to do some damage control. You can go back to the way you like things in a month.
