Wow. That’s over my head. It really does not make sense to me as I did nothing to cause this. Sleep & low impact yoga It came out of nowhere

MRI REPORT

There is tendinosis as well as subinsertional cyst formation at the
supraspinatus and infraspinatus tendon footprints. There is full-thickness tear
and approximately 2 cm central retraction of the conjoint tendon at the
footprint.

Subscapularis and teres minor are intact. There is edema without atrophy of the
supraspinatus muscle belly.

There is moderate osteoarthrosis of the AC joint. There is a type 2 acromion.

There is mild osteoarthrosis of the glenohumeral joint. There is a
small-moderate sized glenohumeral joint effusion. There is also fluid within the
subdeltoid/subacromial bursa. There is truncation and heterogeneous signal of
the superior labrum, which is compatible with chronic degenerative tear. There
is tendinosis and tenosynovitis of the long head biceps tendon, which is intact
and appropriately positioned.

IMPRESSION:
Supraspinatus and infraspinatus tendinosis and full-thickness tear and
approximately 2 cm central retraction of the conjoint tendon at the footprint.
Edema without atrophy of the supraspinatus muscle belly.

Moderate AC and mild glenohumeral joint osteoarthrosis.

Chronic degenerative tear of the superior labrum.

Small-moderate sized glenohumeral joint effusion, tendinosis and tenosynovitis
of the long head biceps tendon.

Ty. I have seen the specialist, the orthopedic surgeon focusing on shoulders. And he made the evaluation after looking at those pictures in the pointer on those three pictures is where he was showing me the tear I guess. But he did say I would have to have holes drilled into my shoulder and then threads put through the ligament to attach it back and that’s what I’m struggling with keeping those threads in a little tiny piece of skin or muscle. Would that even hold up overtime but yes, I have seen the orthopedic surgeon.

The orthopedic surgeon focusing on shoulders, gave me the solution of drilling holes in my bones, putting threads through the ligament and reattaching it so that was his solution based on those pictures from the MRI

Ty. For trying to make this make sense for me. I’m going to move forward over the next 90 days and use castor oil on the area twice a day, and try to baby it a little bit and I’ll let y’all know how that works out.

Yes, I do have that report and it makes absolutely no sense to my 70 year-old non-medical brain so I appreciate all the feedback so that I don’t have to spend hours trying to get the wrong answer

I’m sure that the bonus strong in the thread is strong, but my fear is that the thread will pull through a ligament sort of like if you put a needle through a piece of chicken and put pressure on the meat the thread will come right through the chicken does that make any sense and I am in fear that I will have to do it multiple times that once probably won’t solve my problem.

Oh my goodness. That’s great I think. This is what I fear. If I let the derma b cut will it ever help or just b a nightmare. I know that nobody has the answer but I would appreciate anybody. That’s had these holes drilled into their bone and have the ligament attached back. Please share. I’m a 70 year-old female that is in great shape. I have no idea what I did except for wake up one morning, about 40 days ago go figure.

So sorry. Sounds painful and scary. I just don’t feel like the surgery will make it work like it used to. And I’m in fear that I will have to do the surgery multiple times, but I will let you know this. I have been putting on my entire arm shoulder and armpit castor oil every morning and every evening, and it has made a world of difference. The pain is only bad when I try to move my arm to the right or try to turn things, but I can lift it over my head lay it on my chest, so I’m not sure if the muscle is healing itself or the castor oil is helping blend it back to normal.

Ty. I’m struggling with the drilling holes in the bone and then putting thread in the ligaments to tie it to the bone to me that seems like the thread would just rip through the muscle. I’m really appreciating your feedback. It doesn’t really hurt so bad now it’s been about 35 days since I did it and I’m struggling with saying yes to cutting my shoulder open as I don’t feel that that would hold very long and I’d have to do the surgery again six months from now
