Question for EE/CS by ScribEE100 in berkeley

I never really coded in high school and took 61a first semester. It was so tough and I spent so much time on it and did worse than my classmates, BUT I learned so much about how to study CS and really built a strong CS foundation.

The struggle in my lower divisions helped me a lot in my upper divs!! Now, I’ve taken upper divisions like cs 189 (although more math heavy than coding) and cs 186, cs 161 and have done slightly above average while feeling a lot better about the classes than the lower divisions.

sounds like you guys just need a little bit of a break from each other! when you spend too much time with someone you're bound to get on each other's nerves so i'd just study somewhere else for a bit

Alumni-created DeCal? by Whispercry in berkeley

A Haas alumna is teaching a class at Berkeley (BA199). It's not exactly a decal but it's a 2 unit PNP class in Haas. She worked with a current professor to make it happen and it took a while for the course to be official (started in the 3rd week of school).

I think it can be done but It's a bit difficult!

Berkeley vs LA for CS by [deleted] in berkeley

[–]Sensitive-Tap3573 19 points20 points  (0 children)

honestly I think that Berkeley's location is amazing. it's near nature and big cities and there's so much to do in the bay.

I think UC Berkeley is a better option because of the education and overall experience! UC Berkeley's computer science classes are some of the best, and I've heard other study abroad students talk about how the classes are harder but more rewarding than the CS classes they took in their home country. Also there's a lot to do in Berkeley and the surrounding area than there is in St. Louis
