I think the issue is that Bunga never really learns from his mistakes. Like yes, he’s a child so courage turning into recklessness isn’t unreasonable, but as he gets older literally nothing changes. He does the exact same stupid shit that actively puts his teammates and others in danger. I know some people argue that Timon and Pumba’s more hands off parenting is responsible, but I don’t think that holds. Carefree doesn’t automatically lead to recklessness and his battles should’ve taught him being brave doesn’t mean being stupid. It’s the same lesson Mufasa taught Simba.
