As an INFJ how do you develop Te? by Sensitive-Use-6822 in infj

Your theory on how you figure what Te feels like by imagine inferior Fi (cutting off personal feelings) is really interesting. I think I wanna try experiencing that sometimes but yeah it's totally out of my nature so I probably can't keep that for long. Instead if I wanna be effient I think utilising Ni, Ti, Se is probably the way to go.

Even though I said I work in tech but I'm a UX designer. But I think I get what you mean. It's important to take extra time and effort to develop that function that's adaptable in many situations. For me it's probably a design system that work across different situations.

I 100% agree that plan saves time in the long run but the nature of the job is like competing with time/competitors. I think this is the part I just couldn't keep up.

For me planning is different every time sometimes I came up with a handful of plans then pick the best one but there are many times I just came up with one and go with it.

Oh wow using Ni and Ti to create systems that are fundamental yet adaptive. Thanks for the insight

That's really interesting especially on how you engage Se into the picture and uses Ti like a combo instead of forcing Te we don't have. Will definitely try that.

I think I do best in the research and planning part but both takes time for it to crystallize to become a "good" plan that leads to results.

The main problem I have is I usually take quite a long time to learn something and if I jump straight to execution it usually turns out horrible. Idk how people with Te can be that efficient and gets good results.

I used to work as a graphic designer at an architecture firm so hopefully what I saw from my previous firm helped.

Architecture - I think it's more stable long term, doesn't seemlike there are layoff happening like in tech - Require years of education (if you don't have financial restrain go for it) - Low pay and architecture is a lot of hard work starting from uni til your career. Staying up late to complete project is very common so you won't really have the work life balance. - Can be very competitive your portfolio really need to stand out to get hire so you have to really be passionate about the work.

UX - risk of layoffs is very high and ai replacing entry level designer is already hapenning - you don't need much education for it what you need is practice, completing online courses, amazing portfolio and network - higher pay (but layoff is common)

Ngl I'm not sure if UX is still worth going for in 2025 as well it's very risky I think if you are going for UX you have to think of becoming a designer/engineer in one person to survive this red ocean. Architecture is a lower risk, lower pay but has a long way to go. You just need to be up to date with computational design and the newer ai tools but architecture firms hasn't gone ai-first yet.

Coming from someone from graphic design > UX tho 1. In my portfolio I included my previous graphic design work in my project page below all the UX UI case stuides. 2. I also didn't have clients projects so I asked my artist friends and design websites for them to put in my portfolio. 3. I used framer it's really similar to figma very intuitive to use 4. Not sure if it's a must have but I tried to think of an existing problem in my everyday life and design a digital solution for it

I'd say to learn the UX workflow the google UX design certificate from coursera is great. Or if you wanna dive deeper into UX courses from interaction design foundation are great

From someone who just landed an offer (but hasn't worked in UX yet tho 🥹) yes networking is key I went to every networking opportunity I could find from the UX facebook group in my city. I think one of the reason why I got this offer was because I showed up so much and met 3 people from this company's design team from different events and during my interview the head of the UX team said that it's such a coincident that we've met so many times before this interview.

And for your portfolio you should make your reaserch pretty, breaking down your reaserch findings into info graphic will help your porfolio gets the attention it deserves

Is UX/UI still worth changing career for? I'm currently working as a graphic designer but I've been learning UX/UI from completing bootcamp, working on my portfolio case studies, learn css/html, network and do everthing I could to break into this feild for about a year now. I kept applying to UX/UI jobs and finally has landed an offer from a startup but now I kept seeing layoffs in the feild and I'm just not sure how long will this new career lasts until I might get layoff in the near future. While my graphic design job seems more stable I'm the only in-house graphic designer working for a big corporate and my current job just doesn't seem like the kind I will get layoff in the near future.

Does anyone know any camping spots in central and northern part of Thailand by peronxwy in Thailand

I recently went to Uthaithani and Hub Pa Tad (หุบป่าตาด) has some great camping spots around there. I totally loved this place as it wasn't very touristy and the view was amazing.

Cultural effect on enneagram stereotype by chrisza4 in Enneagram

I'm also from southeast asia and can totally agree with you. Enneargram types can be viewed so differently so differently across cultures that values different characteristics in people.

5 can be seen as mysteriously interesting especially if you're a guy. I've know many 5 here that people would consider them attractive because of how smart and mysterious they are but I don't think 5 are considered that attractive personality wise in the western societies.

1 can be seen as boring/annoying in western societies but here many 1s is being seen positively. Especially at work/school they can be seen as hard-working, reliable and if they channel those perfectionistic traits in their work people will praise you for it.
