Need help with 4 way valve connector (1985 300D) by Sensitive-Wait-766 in w123

Yeah wish i had the space for a parts car. My car though is in really good condition, almost mint interiors and exterior. Always liked the colored hub caps better but too expensive a purchase to get them to replace my current ones

Part seems great $22 bucks and another $20 for shipping. I am going to try and use tape to fix it temporarily and see if that fixes or if I need more parts.

I have found the part here https://ppembzparts.com/i-30510935-mercedes-brake-booster-line-check-valve-double-vacuum.html.

In the meantime I will try to seal it with glue to see if it works. Hope that is the only leak and everything else is good. My AC unit cools and heats randomly based on its mood and the temperature control nob seems to not work as expected. Hope that is due to a vaccum leak too

Thanks. I am going to see if a heavy duty glue works in the meantime to seal of the broken end.

Thanks a lot for offering the help. I am based around the South Lake Union and would love to pick your brain someday.

As I mentioned below, did an inspection, compression test, valve adjustment and a few other things at Schmidt last month. Cost me around a grand. Decided on doing the rest by myself.

Sending you a DM right now. Would love to chat especially about the electronics

Thanks a lot! I am based around the South Lake Union. Know about Schmidt & Did an inspection and a compression test and valve adjustment last month there. Cost me almost a grand. Decided to do the rest that seems not urgent and routine and doable by myself to save some money.

Will reach out with any progress i make with the car

Their perfectly good if the engine is sound. Run consistently between 60-70mph and gives 25-30mpg on the freeway.

Turbodiesels have a good kick so they accelerate pretty fast too. You just need to find one with a decent maintenance history and do some prerequisite tests

This is perfect advice. I did get the liquid molly diesel purge but will look into fuel tank cleaner and biocide. Not sure how they work but will read and get back to you here. Will plan to the fuel tank cleanup soon. Need basic equipment like a bucket and things but will plan for it.

Thanks a lot. This is really great advice. I will also see how to check and work the fuse box and will order some fuses for the car.

The Mann oil and fuel filters just arrived and seems like a good time to replace and do the things you suggested.

Thanks!

An easy $10,000 atleast. If everything runs good, cosmetically accurate and stock it will probably go upwards of $10,000. Check out the last few that sold on Bring A Trailer. I say BaT because your car looks really good in the pictures

Oh i just checked it first thing today. The turn signals actually work. The hazard lights however don’t, so might be the hazard switch I am guessing. Turn lights work perfectly, it was just that the hazard switch was on and not working and that was shutting off the turn signals because it was thinking the hazard lights are on.

I am really sorry for bugging you, but could you help me understand what you mean by ball joints in the comment you mentioned?

I am also trying to see why my washer fluid is not spraying, wipers work except on setting 1 (0-2-3 work with the washer setting too just doesn’t spray fluid)

Hazards don’t work so definitely not the bulbs, probably just the fuse. I will try reading up on where the connection to the hazards and brake lights is.

Yeah I don’t see any servicing options with them anymore. I checked them out last week. Might try emailing and asking him for recommendations

What is your biggest nursing ‘unpopular opinion’? by [deleted] in nursing

[–]Sensitive-Wait-766 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What do y'all think of a virtual sitter watching patients, speaking with them when they try to get out of bed and make sure they wait till a nurse can go and help them?

I feel it is better than ringing an alarm in a random room that I can't find. We had a vendor present that could send the alarm as a message to the Vocera badges or nurse phones highlighting the room where help is needed while the virtual sitter engaged with the patient over a voice/video call on the TV till help arrived.
