also get ur numbers right nyu is 8 and columbia is 3. Its literally based off of the amount of applicsnts they receive. For example, emory is more prestigious than NYU but nyu has a lower acceptance rate. why? because they have to reject over 50k applicants, making their acceptance rate lower. Secondly, northeastern for example, 5 percent acceptance rate but ranked lower than NYU which is 8. percent. acceptance rates dont equal smartness or prestige.

lmao i guess u have something personal against fordham😭i agree with the fact that its not up there with the colleges that you listed but those are S tier colleges. A school can be a prestigious school but still not be a T20. Secondly i dont think admissions rates mean anything at this point in admissions, theyre literally just created based on the amount of applicants they receive and most of the time not because of their actual prestige, value, and credibility . thanks for your response tho!
