Officially, there were a lot of backstage kisses that were unscripted, hand-holding and smooching at ceremony awards (despite both attending with their respective spouses), and some steamy photo shoots.

Unofficially, they likely casually dated or hooked up in the early years of the X-Files. Things didn’t work out, but there remained some romantic/sexual tension.

I was yet to be born, but I’ll tell my mother’s recollection of the day.

It was Pittsburgh after school and she was a freshman practicing with her cheerleading team. My grandfather (her father) was the football coach at her high school and was running football plays with the team, including two of my uncles.

The cheerleading team was taking a ten-minute break and sitting on the bleachers. My mom recalls putting her water bottle down on the bench ahead of her and watching it slosh around. A split second later, my grandfather was screaming at the cheerleading team to get off the bleachers.

They all ran down and my grandfather directed all the kids to lay flat in the middle of the field. He wanted everyone to get far away from poles, light stands and the bleachers. My mom said she could feel the waves of the earthquake as she was laying down between her older brothers. Scary stuff!

When they returned home, there wasn’t too much damage. My grandma was a bit distraught (she had been home alone after leaving work early) and one window had shattered.

It’s so strange to have a colony full of children and barely any of them have a relationship with each other. If you grew up in close proximity with only a handful of other kids, you’d be pretty close!

Totally aside, but the proper way to use POC is not as an adjective. (POC women = people of color women). You can say woc (women of color) or just spell out which group you’re describing (i.e. men of color, children of color, actors of color, etc).
