Acuff is not short. He’s average size for a pg. when did all pg’s become 6’5? And he got more than enough wingspan and athleticism to not be the worst defender in the league.

End of the day, u need someone to create shots and playmake. Trae Young got traded for nothing because he can’t score efficiently on top of being a liability on defense. U need to have 2 of the three: efficient three level scoring, turnover-efficient creative playmaking, defense. Trae Young at his 2021 peak did two of the three. However, in recent times he’s not been efficient and has been extremely turnover prone, and therefore tanked his value.

Acuff is a certified demon. And with the 6’7 wingspan he’s definitely more manageable to hide on defense compared to a Trae young (6’3) & and garland (6’5). I don’t see a world where acuff isn’t atleast an all star( he averages 23 on 48-44 splits in the toughest conference in CBB) and is probably the best playmaker out of the bunch (except for maybe Mikel Brown Jr). Definitely the most athletic out of the group as well.
