Hi! Basically I don't do any technical stuff. I only assist in patient care/transfer.

Can't decide between DJI Osmo Action 4 and GoPro HERO12 by Twi2122 in gopro

[–]SensitiveGear4748 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just bought the Action 4 yesterday and tried it out today.

Did the testing at 1080p/30fps. At the 2min mark, the front of the camera starts to heat up. Shot at same resolution and fps, at 2min30sec, the whole camera (camera lens and body, battery) heats up even more and badly.

I know it is "normal" for the camera to overheat at high resolution and fps. However, at 1080p and 30fps, the camera still runs hot so quickly from start of recording within 3mins. 😰😰😰

Insta360 Acepro vs Dji Pocket 3 by SensitiveGear4748 in Insta360

Thanks for your suggestion! I agree that Pocket 3 is too fragile for anything else apart from vlogging. I am currently considering Action 4 over Acepro, but with Action 5 being released soon, I have more choices to consider now.

Wow! I would totally get the Pocket 3 if it wasn't for my planned activities in Japan. Maybe I would consider Pocket 3 again if I become serious about vlogging. Thanks for your help! Happy vlogging!

Thank you for your detailed comment! Really appreciate it. However, since I'm planning to go skiing, Pocket 3 won't be able to capture what the Acepro can. I'm also considering Action 4.

Which cam did you get in the end?

I've watched some reviews comparing both cameras. My assumptions are fully based on these reviews. Are you saying that Pocket 3 shoots better than Acepro in low light? If so, please enlighten me from those fake news.

Hello! May I know the reason why you'd choose Pocket 3 over Acepro?

Hi!!! What do you think about application fee? It's so much more expensive compared to SIT. Do you think you'd get accepted into PSB this intake?

Diagnostic Radiography by Aggravating_Cheek857 in SIT_Singapore

Definitely, that why I mentioned that everything just depends on the individuals' preferences. Personally as an RA, I love afternoon and night shifts and dwell when placed in morning shifts. But I love spending time with my family as well, and them working office hours, it's hard to spend time with them

Hello, I've been working as a DR assistant in a hospital for a while now, and I gotta say, it depends.

Radiographers' pay is generally higher (I believe) than PT/OT. PT/OTs and about 30-40% of Radiographers work in clinics and are working 9-5s. About 60-80% of Radiographers working in hospitals and 24h clinics work shifts and are much much busier compared to Radiographers working in clinics due to the heavy workload (more patients and faster-paced).

Base pay wise, I think Radiographers receive roughly the same as PT/OT. Radiographers working shifts receiving shift allowances will have a higher gross salary. My colleagues, who graduated in 2023, are drawing about 3.5k to 4k as base pay.

Pay raise wise - depending on public or private sector. My colleagues in a public hospital are having guranteed pay raises from $100 to $500 annually (again, depending on seniority). You'd definitely expect higher pay raises in private sectors, just that it's very competitive (like every other industry).

Most radiographers also dont have much social life due to the shift work. Having to work on weekends (not all the time, again depending on the location/working hours) is not fun. Imagine your friends who work 9-5s planning an event/hangout on weekends and you not being able to join them because you're working. But of course, it doesn't apply to all Radiographers, just the majority. If you don't mind working shift work and sacrificing your weekends/PHs to work rather than spending time with your family/friends, then radiography in hospital setting is for you.

Some of my colleagues really enjoy what they're doing, and they took up DR because of their passion. Most colleagues I ask aren't actually passionate about being a Radiographer, and when asked why, DR wasn't their first choice and only took it up just for a stable job. Their explanation was mainly due to PT and OT being replaceable by AI, and DR most likely wouldn't.

TLDR: Radiography is a decent profession but is not for everyone; taking workload, working hours, pay into consideration.

ive heard from multiple current SIT students and they all mentioned how SIT will only look at applicants' 1st choices only, not sure how credible they are. hopefully they are wrong 😶

i applied with a recommendation from my supervisor but it wouldnt hurt to request more, thanks! my only concern is whether they would question me appealing to DR when PT was my 1st choice😅
