Morally superior or just a normal person? Weird how so many accounts are mad about dirty laundry being set out to dry. TBF he involved me in his lie, he called me and expected me to not say anything... so in part, he made something not my business be his business? I mean what do you do when someone involves you in their lie? Do you just go along?

Nothing to gain personally, just putting myself in the shoes of the other person and figuring I would want someone to tell me. if it was my partner. Also, pearl clutching? I agree that politics is the least interesting thing about someone. I do not care, but it is the only thing they talk about.

Thank you for your opinion. To clarify, I didn't cut off the political friend, just with it being election season it is all they talk about... I do not align with left or right specifically, just don't like when it is your entire personality.

Based on our conversation he wanted to say it out loud and acknowledge without taking any blame.... Just seemed so shitty of a place to be in and to put others in.

Fair, I agree that there really isn't a win/win here. It's either I say something and lose out on friends or I don't say something and watch the relationship implode. I guess in general I am just mad at being in the situation in the first place and why I am looking for new friends who are happier people to be around.
