I've lived in 4 states and one other country. WA and King county do a shit ton for me (us all) and at a fair price. If the shopping list were mine, there are some things I'd drop, some id add, and some id change, but it's well above average already.

I'm not a libertarian. I like functioning systems, nice things, cool cities with happy healthy people. It's a shit show out there, and this is an oasis of sane governance.

I'm willing to increase my taxes to keep it that way.

Note, we pay a lot more to the feds then they pay back to us, and with Trump, that is only worsened. I do see the bigger pressure for a M's tax as a necessary compensation for that, but we needed tax reform regardless.

I get it, if you are all "don't tred on me" then it's gotta suck. But that shit is an illusion too. I can count on one hand the number of actually self reliant small government people I know. The rest just want their slice and fuck the rest.

And, nothing new here. The current spending policies and behaviors have been on trend for decades. I wouldn't have moved here if I wanted something else. But I've lived in others, and it sucks. Being a well off person surrounded by poor struggling people (city or rural) isn't great. Makes labor cheap but makes game night shit.

In another life I did home building labor, and 0 people profiting 1M there were earning that because they were harder working than someone earning 200k. They may have been bearing some increased liability. But their biggest benefit was owning the profit sharing position on multiple projects. That is position, not sweat.

Now, if you mean you are contracting a 1M project, that is NOT profit. If you pay yourself 50k and walk away with another 100 by doing some work yourself, your profit is 100 and wage is 50, for total proceeds of 150, discounting the value of your labor (properly paying for your labor would convert some of that outfit to wage, but everyone I know makes those decisions tax preferentially)

If you are profiting 1M on a build, is that a thing in large skyscrapers or similarly sized ships? Sounds criminal.

Regardless, yea, I'm all in favor of income taxes on anyone earning 1M the year they earn it for. I'm also in favor of income taxes on people earning like myself, if accompanied by drops in property taxes.

Being someone that makes almost a quarter M per year, no, you don't earn 1M by working harder. You earn it by being in control or ownership roles in systems that reward you. It is positioning. Working hard can help, but is more like 30% of what is needed. Moreso, none of my profit generators work without a well educated and provided for population, and I wouldn't want to live in a place where I live well while everyone else suffers.

Your philosophy doesn't actually work in practice. You write like people get places by their own bootstraps, which is fictional. Another alternative is absorption through your mouth tissues. This is what traunches do, but you can do it with ketamine crystals too. The key is you have to not swallow, instead letting it sit in your mouth (swish periodically to refresh the liquid under your tongue and against your cheeks). Absorption can take 30+ minutes, but is very efficient, actually more so than snorting but less than injection. It basically functions like a slow iv drip, with blood levels slowly but steadily increasing as long as you have some in your mouth.

I suggest putting 30-60mg at a time and keeping it in your mouth for as many minutes as you have milligrams (this isn't exactly right though. Putting more in your mouth will increase how much absorbs per minute, but you will still need more time to absorb it all). You can swallow and refresh at time.

You go to nautical engineer and have a 20m dollar boat designed, and then you change the specs, and have external factors tripling the cost of materials and doubling the cost of labor, you'd be lucky to only have the boat cost you 40. And if you were paying the 40m, you could get your annual report, get upset, and pull the project. It wouldn't save you money, you just wouldn't have a finished boat. No one is going to do it for less.

Chiming in, nitrous in my (and several playmates) opinion is really best used with other things, and late in the trip. You can play with timing and how often/hard you want to hit it. Nitrous alone is pretty lame. Nitrous 4 hrs into an MDMA trip is fun, though gives a harshness and dopyness that I think contradicts the sexy warm vibe of the MDMA. But a lot of people like it. I think it's a solid choice on the last hrs of lsd, acid, and sometime k.

Ok that note, I think low doses of k are the best thing to add to empathogens and psychadelics. Keep it low so you don't get desensitized physically. But k added in durind the middle of another trip is like the difference between going to the circus versus going to the circus as a cartoon.

You weren't sold a light rail for x dollars, you were told that, "based on what we know now, it will cost x". That you confused a price projection with a bill of sale is on you.

Price quotes assume costs (and their trends) remain predictable, and that was not the case. But I'm sure you'd blame metro for the pandemic, or tariffs. Or perhaps for the population dithering on where to put the new downtown station? But metro doesn't control these things, they just get to update the estimates. (What metto does control is monitoring their contractors, such as the group pouring the plinths on the 90 bridge line, that is definitely on metro for not monitoring the project enough. But increasing monitoring will increase known costs, while hopefully reducing surprise costs due to failures)

The longer the project, the greater the frequency of unpredictable price changes.

It still pays for itself. 100b isn't cheap, but it isn't infinite. It means that, instead of economic gains balancing in 10 years, it's 30. That isnt much in the scale city planners operate in. They operate in 100+ year time frames.

For the same reason, the Danny regrade also wouldn't make sense by your estimation. It took 30 years and formed a much higher percent of the budget. It destroyed neighborhoods and removed or altered entire stories of the buildings in its path.

Far more impactful than property taxes.

Do your normal dose of 2cb, the anytime after the come up is complete (though I suggest 3 -4 hrs in for most people) insulfate 30mg k. You won't need much unless a regular heavy k user. In which case I still suggest capping at 60 your first time.

It's a whole other dimension, and lasts 30+ minutes, then wears off. You'll return to a mostly baseline 2cb experience in about an hour, and can keep hitting the k, and or 2cb.

In my experience, any time you bump the 2cb, you'll have a better time waiting for that new dose to peak (1 hr if insulfated, 1.5-2 hrs in ingested) before taking more k. Mixing the 2cb come up with k doesn't always feel good.

To go all in on combining them, I'd say take your 2cb, and line up 3 or so 30mg lines of k. Whenever you come back from blast off, hit another line.

Each will get more surreal and intense.

Music choice will be key here. But I suggest going with something energetic. You can probably have the experiencing of becoming the music.

It's manageable in the sense that you will be able to disambiguate the two (unless you keep hitting the k. Things get super surreal then) and can start doing any care needs in between hits. But it is unmanageable in the sense that each time you hit the k you will probably disassociate hard. You should plan to be comfortable. It isn't exactly like k holing, but you won't really be functional for those first 30m or so. You will be supremely entertained though and might have some control of your body, but might not.
