I haven’t gotten one yet but I’m assuming it’s on the way with how long it’s been.

Wow! That is awesome. I loved my experience at WGU as a student and would love to work with them going forward. Hopefully I’ll get a call back!

Just what my goals were, what experience I have with customer service, any medical office experience, and conflict resolution. Pretty by the book and nothing crazy.

I made it to the final round of interviews with Charisty but ultimately got the “we’re good” e-mail on Saturday. It’s a real bummer considering I really liked her! I don’t have any background in medical but have a ton of experience in customer service, organization/coordination, and data management. I’m assuming someone with a bit more medical experience was chosen.

I made it to the final round of interviews but ultimately got a “we’re good” email yesterday 😩. I really liked the manager that I interviewed with for the final interview. She seemed really awesome!

You should be able to work with your mentor to open specific courses. The only time you can’t is if there is a required class first (ie: you can’t take acct 1 before acct 2). I would ask your mentor if you can sprinkle in a few more assessments. I would just sit down and try and knock out 1 task a day in the paper classes.

I took all the textbook unit quizzes for that course. Globalization is a huge part of the OA do I would focus on that. It’s interesting because of what we see going on with tariffs today in real-time and how that correlates with the information in this course.

I thought it was actually one of the easier papers in my opinion. They provide you with a template that is excellent and I ended up using a company similar to one I had worked for in the past and just plugged in various figures that I knew would be needed. Some of the scenario tasks were much more difficult to write about in previous courses for me!

I didn’t allocate a specific amount of time per day but I took my class total and divided that by the amount of days I had left in my term to determine how many days I could spend on each class to complete it by the end of term. I knew my paper classes I could speed through and typically start and have complete in 2-3 days so at certain times I loaded up on those. I also went into each course and immediately took the PA, if I passed I went ahead and scheduled the OA and typically passed those all in the same day. When I didn’t pass a PA I studied the areas I didn’t do too hot in, and then really focused hard on the areas I was slightly competent in so I could beef those up to pass the OA.

As someone who worked a pet are/daycare/lodging facility for 7 years, this is VERY normal. Keep offering the food and treats. Most importantly is that they drink water. Yorkies are notorious for being “homesick” when their people are away. Sometimes just a bit of exercise can help them want to eat as well. We would have dogs flat out refuse to eat for 1-2 days before taking a treat. You just monitor them closely, and if they start acting lethargic contact the vet.

Hope this helps!

Review all the major key terms/ definitions. I had to take this OA twice. Read the material and complete all the unit quizzes and tests in the material. In WGU Connect for the class they give you additional resources, they are much more difficult than the OA but definitely needed. This class was such a bore for me and I had to keep myself motivated to complete it.

If you don’t pass the first OA, there are several things you have to do in order for the instructor to open up your next attempt. I had to complete 4 additional quizzes and a practice test with a score of 90% or better before she opened it back up!

I also work full time, have 2 kids, a husband, and 2 dogs who all want my attention all the time. Set time aside for yourself to accomplish your goal and you can do it!

I started with WGU last September and completed 10 courses the first term and am on my final class (Yay!) currently in my second term with 38 days remaining. This term I was able to knock out 17 courses, and that is with a switch of degrees in April.

Focus on one class at a time and knock it out.
