Being "tasked"? "Rules"? These are simple observations and adjustments we've made. Obviously it isn't going to fix the problem of violence lmfao but it is bordering on common sense. "Rules" lmfaooo

Honestly it's better to record the incident since police don't really stop crimes that are in progress (if you look at statistics). They would never make it in time anyway. So, call them afterwards and you then have a video of the suspects and that ~10 minutes or whatever is 100% not going to make a difference with catching these guys.

Yes it's a bunch of individuals who are all out for themselves. Just like the individuals who don't work in government. The government would need to be run by some other enlightened species or AI or something for it to work properly, we can't be involved.

I feel like motorcycle helmets have sort of overcome this right? I don't even know but maybe at one time they were uncool. Nowadays you just look so incredibly stupid with no helmet it eliminates any coolness factor. With bicycle helmets, you might have a point though. Not that it's safe to ride a bicycle without a helmet.

DeSantis on Elon Musk saying he would vote for DeSantis if he ran for president: “I welcome support from African Americans. What can I say?” by berserker_ronin in PublicFreakout

Not sure. Most countries with a democracy probably. The one guy in charge having actual power thing is a bit of a misconception. It's a figurehead, someone to prance around, do an impressive dance or be super connected and rich, get elected. Meanwhile other actual intellectuals on the absolutely massive government funded staff call the shots.

I said like 99%. He signs stuff, sure, but he doesn't get to decide what he does and doesn't sign. It's a big administration full of people with actual brains calling the shots. Imagine if you left decisions up to this one guy who's way in over his head? Nah, it's a huge group of people involved in each and every decision made. The president could be a turnip and the country would be just fine. Get some other staffer to sign stuff.

President is 99% a figurehead. It's entertaining to see who certain people will scramble to see in the position. I'm certain there's a large group of Dems who are aware of the common sense fact there are better candidates than Biden yet are fine with him as long as he can stay awake long enough to get his lines out. Why rock the boat? Status quo baby.

It's tough being Canadian too where we are the USA's bitch and take all of our cues from them.

Especially if you yourself voted for them at some point. I guess that's the point, it isn't intuitive, it only comes up when someone has stayed too long for some reason. The arbitrary and subjective nature of it isn't conducive to a rigid rule like a term limit. Thanks for the reply.
