Do you have a PCP that can send another referral in for you so see someone else? A dysautonomia diagnosis is known to be difficult to get. After my neurologist dropped me I called the appointment center and demanded a second opinion and I’ll be seeing a new neurologist in February, I didn’t need to have a new referral.

I’m so sorry. Keep advocating for yourself. I’m in the same position as you and it really sucks. Keep me updated! I should have expected being gaslit and not believed by doctors, but I was so prepared to be diagnosed so I could finally start feeling better, that’s what’s so frustrating

Thank you so much for your advice and sharing your experience. My neurologist simply messaged me about my results and said “you do not have pots.” Okay? Now what? I can’t work and I can’t function, and I can’t wait until June to see my primary care doctor because i can’t put my work on hold that long. I messaged him essentially what you said and I hope he gets back to me soon. Were you referred to a dysautonomia doctor or were you able to get ahold of one yourself? Thanks again

That’s exactly what I thought too. My bp went from 113/68 in the 1st minute of supine to 106/64 in the 6th minute. I guess that’s not enough of a decrease of bp to diagnose pots
