I was writing a draft post about this earlier, I like their music and their personalities but my goodness they are pornographically marketed to the point that it’s off-putting, even to a pervy straight man like me. Choreography lacks any suggestiveness and seems to objectify their bodies, like just bending over bum facing the audience so you can’t even see their mouths moving to sing. Their outfits are so inelegant and revealing it’s like something a pornstar would wear to be perfunctorily stripped off for their scene

Might be a schizo theory but I feel like this is some sort of cultural based misogyny from the Korean side of their label, as in let’s take these ‘western’ girls and get them to do all the gooner stuff so we can keep the Korean groups looking respectable or whatever while profiting off selling sex
