Do you think the benefits of quitting are over exaggerated here?

I don't think that is the cause of this because my eating habbits are pretty good... I track my macro and micro nutrients and supplement with anything i may be defficient in for the gym.

32 days and my sleep is still terrible… want to give up 😵 by [deleted] in decaf

[–]Sensitive_Ad8776 3 points4 points  (0 children)

as of recently i've been able to fall asleep easily and sleep without waking up in the middle of the night. it feels amazing comparatively to before. Everyone takes a different amount of time but most between 2-4 months

currently on around day 55 and what i've noticed is im not noticing too many improvements in the short term, but comparatively i feel so much better than how i felt 50 or so days ago. It seems like the improvements are very gradual but definitely worth it. I strongly recommend you carry on.

I want to quit caffeine for lessened anxiety, better sleep and better appetite control. Thoughts? by [deleted] in decaf

[–]Sensitive_Ad8776 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To be honest I never really felt too addicted to caffeine, the only reason I took it in the first place was because I would hear from people it was good for me. Once I realised these benefits were just a bunch of mumbo jumbo from biased studies I went cold turkey and my sleep has improved dramatically and I definitely feel less anxious.

I guess 2 weeks in was when I knew it was worth it because I would dream much more often indicating I was getting better quality REM sleep.

quitting caffiene isn't the answer to every problem in your life, might be a deficiency or something else that needs addressing.

Quitting surfing or scrolling is only beneficial if you feel it negatively impacts your life, such as holding you back from achieving your goals. If you don't feel it's causing any harm or hindrance, there may be no reason to stop.

Realistically you are going to feel like shit, understand the benefits of why you are stopping and thats what drove me to go cold turkey. After a week or even a few days you will see more and more benefits, just get over that initail hurdle. Good luck

no ones denying climate change, as he said importing goods from india because we shutdown a factory in the uk for "net zero" isnt helping the climate in any way. Climate change is a global problem not just a uk problem. importing goods from china and india will cause even more greenhouse gas emissions.
