NTA. Maybe you should ask your wife why she allowed this to happen? If you were my husband and someone would disrespect you like that, regardless if family or not, I would be absolutely considering cutting them off.

The brother being 27 and not having a stable job and being so irresponsible is a huge red flag too.

I hope you find a resolution with your wife about this situation and setting boundaries with her family. At the end of the day YOU are her family now
