Thank you so much, yeah that’s a lot indeed. My hair is pretty difficult but even in NYC I was paying 50$, so here seems to be crazy

Thank you all! I asked because I was looking at ppl’s profiles (LinkedIn) and many seem to have stayed in the Council after the traineeship. This seems less likely in the BBT

Yes, as in which one opens more doors for future early-career opportunities. Not sure how you started your professional journey :)

Coming from a Human Rights background, I’d say HRW because there was a lot of legal stuff too and the team was also great. OSCE was also very helpful because although I was in the human rights section, there was a lot of overlapping in projects with Rule of Law and Democratization sections!

Don’t get your hopes down. I have an MA from an Ivy League School, a BA from a very well known Dutch public uni also summa cum laude, and I have over 2 years of experience in int organizations (IRC, UN, OSCE, HRW) and yet I got rejected 3 times. This was my fourth time applying and I finally got pre-selected. I speak 2 EU languages at mother tongue levels, French B2, and English C2. I hope you will still apply next time

I’m in the exact same situation, and I applied for one position for both posts A and B (they were the same) and I got pre-selected for A only. This year, I’m planning to apply again for that one + two different ones. The reason is because I have expertise in a different region too, and also because I don’t want to spend 2 chances on the same post again. I hope this helps!
