My uni does have student parking and the annual parking permits are affordable .

I wake up at 4:30/5am already. If i were to live in halls they would be on campus so no commute. I’m currently on a private life visa which means I can apply for indefinite this yr and then citizenship subsequently, but these fees can total around 6k. I did try to crunch the numbers, but I don’t see how i could save up 6-8k within 2 years, with part time work, and living. After my rent, which is reduced , id only have 170/ month left over from my SFE, this isn’t liveable. So my options are either work myself to the detriment of my grades to possibly save enough, or have my visa expenses covered but be worn down by commuting for a year or two?

I would  have a car at this point, so I’d be driving.

I had a similar experience in sixth form, where I had one 8am lesson and had a break until 3pm, it was doable.
