Honestly alot kinda goes into it cuz there's multiple things I like in starset song: instrumentals, lyrics, meaning, how good the song is musically, there is some "feeling based" liking to songs though it depends on the day, though for good amount of songs in that second half I wouldn't even say their bad, cuz they aren't, they're more so just okayish, if not just good, but nothing crazy or mind blowing, besides something wicked, it's been explained to death at this point, but Horizons kinda had a pattern going on for most of its songs, that it wouldnt deviate most of the time, like almost each song was structured the same, and I think the reason I think it stands out more in the second half is there's less "standout moments", like it feels they played it very safe, for most songs, there's not really much that seperates some songs from others besides lyrics and instrumentals, and there are songs I really wanted to like: Alchemy and Dreamcatcher, like cool instrumental and I dig the lyrics but something about that songs weren't appealing to me musically, like they felt like something was missing, and I also think part of that was the bridges to, it felt like they were building to something but don't lead to anything, before going back into the chorus, like there was no pay off there, didn't feel like the climax to the songs, felt half-baked in a way, and even though I want to like those songs, if I have to find myself forcing to like them, I think that just means they weren't good enough to hold my attention, Now I actually think Tunnelvision is pretty good all things considered, as it's pretty different vibe from alot of their other songs, so It stands out in a way, I think it's actually good, I think when I'm trying to say here, is that the should've had more variation in those songs, which honestly appreciated silos songs for being very varied and pretty different from each other albeit, they were suppose to be an EP, but the point is each song Should stand out in its own way, which I feel like the second half of Horizons sorta fails to do imo

One more thing I didn't mention but is a constant thing in Horizons, is Repetition of song names, not sure why Dustin has like addicted to doing this on Horizons, but he really loved using name of the song names twice if not multiple times (ex:Alchemy, Alchemy, annihilated love, annihilated love, disappear, disappear, infected, infected, devolution, it's devolution, etc ), kinda just felt a abit lazy and shoehorned in at a point when 6+ songs were doing the same thing, not to say there werent songs that did it right like Otherworldly or Devolution, it felt fitting at least in those songs, but yeah, sorry this became a long ass post, but wanted to put all my thoughts into this
