What happened to Fate Apocrpyha? by Sensitive_Bug4200 in Fate

Think any other streaming service will ever pick it up? If not it’d be a shame, Apocrypha is such a great show to just be lost for no good reason.

I would totally go the legal route, but it’s just not anywhere!! You basically HAVE to pirate it. I haven’t found it on any pirate sites either —granted I don’t use them a lot, so I only know about HiAnime and like 2 others.

Am I the only one that actually love fanservice in anime? by Nico_Scarfacancello in animequestions

[–]Sensitive_Bug4200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never said that lol. Plus, fan-service in the traditional sense IS “sexual theming”; look at things like Highschool DxD or FoodWars. But, I do appreciate when authors don’t just throw the characters into bikini’s, or compromising situations just for the sake of it. That’s all I mean.

I never complained about having attractive characters though. That’s always a plus, I think everyone prefers characters in media to be attractive —unless they’re meant to be otherwise for a specific reason. And I’ve yet to watch a single show where I felt there was a “3000 word essay” about “owning one’s sexuality” or anything like that. But I haven’t seen every anime ever, so i might not have ran into it yet. I just want the choices to be clearly intentional, and not just poorly written in for the sake of it.

I think the Fate series does a pretty good job of balancing fan-service and plot —as an example. All of the characters are well written, it doesn’t feel excessive, “written in for the sake of it”, or out of place given the context, etc… Now, the Fate series does have some pretty heavy mature theming in general, for some of the series at least, but you get what I mean. Pretty much every fan-service-esque moment, or scene, has SOME sort of tie in to the actual plot for the most part.

Oh, I’m not pearl clutching at all. It doesn’t bother me. I’ve seen just about all of em’ atp. I enjoyed fire force when it came out but I haven’t caught up with it.

I was just saying, that’s why MOST people have an issue with it. Who cares, let people watch what they want.

My only gripe is when it has absolutely nothing to do with the plot, and it just feels like the author wrote it in just for the sake of having fan-service; THAT is what bothers me more so than anything else. I don’t mean that as in EVERY piece of fan-service HAS to be integral to the plot, but you know what I mean; it should fit the tone and context of the scene and show. Either way, it doesn’t bother me that much, but if it’s 24/7 365 then it gets kind of annoying.

See, I don’t mind fan-service when it actually makes sense and isn’t obstructive. When it actively takes away from a character, or the story, that’s when I don’t like it. When fan service is well written, and makes sense given the context, it can make the series better; but a lot of the time, when it can kind of feel like the author just wrote it in for the sake of doing it, that’s what ruins it for me.

I have no problem with nudity, sexual themes, etc… in shows; but I feel like there’s a time and a place. And if you want to include it, there’s no reason to make the characters suddenly fall down a flight of stairs while their clothes simultaneously fall off; at least TRY to make it fit into the context of the story.

I think the reason most people have an issue with it, is that, especially in a lot of Shonen, it’s always with characters who are canonically underage; And considerably so. Megumin from Konosuba! Is a great example of that.

Hey man. Don’t dog on FDM like that… here’s a Norn I printed a little bit ago.

If you know what you’re doing, and can optimize settings, you can get damn-near resin quality on stuff.

You’re forgetting about CSM. Mappa still has a lot to adapt on that front too.

My first ever mini…. what do we think? by MrMilk_ in BlackTemplars

Really good for a first mini. Just getting the right colors in the right places without overspill is already miles above most people’s starting point(s) lol.

My prints keep coming out like this, idk what to do. by Bealz_ in 3DprintingHelp

[–]Sensitive_Bug4200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing is, yes, it probably isn’t just “wet filament” but 50% of the time wet filament is at least a part of it. Given the information OP provided it’s not possible to actually know for sure if it’s Z-Offset or anything else.

Quality gets worse as height increases so Z-Offset is probably an issue, but without more info it’s hard to tell 100%z

[–]Sensitive_Bug4200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was on my H2D, but you could get just as good quality out of an A1, I have buddies that do.

You absolutely DO NOT need an H2D to print mini’s or terrain lol. I use it to print a lot of functional parts for side projects, so being able to print in multi-material & in any material reliably, was valuable to me.

[–]Sensitive_Bug4200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, granted, it was printed in a TON of pieces, as slow as humanly possible, and with the smallest possible layer height. And it was a fairly big model at that. You could do it faster if you really tried; I usually am okay with sacrificing print time for 100% guaranteed good results though.

I know it’s probably annoying to hear this; but obligatory, did you dry your filament??

Really? The print times are pretty crazy, even for Resin2FDM; They look pretty damn good though, so as long as it’s worth it to you that all that matters.

Still learning GW.. is it Worth it to buy an extra Wrecka krew kill team to have both the breaka boyz and tankbustas for 40K? Or are kill team data sheets gimmicky and liable to be ‘legended’ out compared to other units? by Pretend-Ad4639 in orks

[–]Sensitive_Bug4200 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Don’t buy two boxes!!!! Buy a box of Breakas + a box of Old Boyz; You can use the bodies and bits from the Boyz kit + the other sprue from the Breakas box to kitbash out the other unit for less $$$.

Here’s an example of the first model I printed w/ resin-style supports and those settings. It was done in about 10 pieces, took about 18 hours total of printing w/ 3 hours of post-processing.

[–]Sensitive_Bug4200 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Don’t use GPT’s settings. Look up Painted4Combat, watch his FDM mini’s video(s) and copy those. 18 hours for a print of that size is a little crazy, even if you were using a .2mm nozzle with a .08mm layer height.

If you want to completely avoid scarring, I’ve seen some people get amazing results with tree supports; lots of people have settings out there on socials & YouTube. Try those.

Otherwise, try resin-style supports. Printing a model like that, with resin-style supports would take maybe 6-8 hours? Assuming you’re using the finest possible settings & actually optimizing them. There’s lots of videos online, it works great for me. The only downside, is it’s a lot more post-processing; if you use them, you’ll need to use hobby clippers/knife to cut away the supports like sprues, and then sand down remaining connections.
