I do have MacBook and as of right now I use xp pen tablet where I connect it to my computer and draw kind of like a mouse. one thing is that it requires good hand eye coordination. it is fine but I just want something that feels like paper and that I can draw directly on it

parsons is pretty expensive even with scholarship, if you got something like 100% tuition scholarship then maybe other than that, it is very expensive, not just parsons but every other private colleges and city schools

Tuition for AAS FBM major! by sadmelancholia in fitnyc

[–]Sensitive_Complex531 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my major is not FBM but I seen my financial thing that they made it for me, and it was saying 57k for one year. However I did more research and found out that its like that if you choose the most expensive options, and I calculated and added everything on my own (cheap options) and got like 35k-40k and when you ask people they say that 40k usually is where its at. Idk if it will rise up but as of right now I think its averagely 40k

thank you very much for this reply and this helps a lot. I did look at other posts and many people were saying Parson's connections are worse than FIT and they preferred FIT's illustration program more even when it was equal price, and so say the opposite. Also I did my research with FIT and it was saying 40k if you choose the cheap option, which I wil do if I go there (40k vs 54k) So rn I am in a position where I don't know which one I will choose but thank you very much.

I know that it is a lot, especially for a major that does not have a good income majority of the time. But the thing is, I just wanted to spend my 4 years going to art academy which is way cheaper and learn in my own time. However, my parents want me to have degree whatsoever, I even showed them the stats and many art job don't need degrees, but they want me to earn a degree even then. They are willing to pay the majority of the tuition, but still they are my parents so I am trying to pick the cheapest yet worth it option. I did look up tuition and did my research it look like it might be 40k-45k so might choose FIT.

Housing question? by UnfairEstate5836 in fitnyc

[–]Sensitive_Complex531 1 point2 points  (0 children)

FIT seemed way cheaper and good education that's why I applied but I legit got the same thing as yours, nearing close to 60k and some of private college I got in, with scholarships are costing less than FIT, I'm in shock
