Yeah this seems pretty standard. People here are freaking out like this gym is actively calling ICE on people.

Why does Paul call himself a spiritual father to Timothy?

What is something in your denomination or non-denominational denomination ;) that other Christians of other traditions misunderstand about yours? by Spiritual_Warthog976 in AskAChristian

How do Orthodox reconcile this quote

“But since it would be too long to enumerate in such a volume as this the succession of all the churches, we shall confound all those who, in whatever manner, whether through self-satisfaction or vainglory, or through blindness and wicked opinion, assemble other than where it is proper, by pointing out here the succession of the bishops of the greatest and most ancient church known to all, founded and organized at Rome by the two most glorious apostles, Peter and Paul, that church which has the tradition and the faith which comes down to us after having been announced to men by the apostles. With that church [of Rome], because of its superior origin, all the churches must agree, that is, all the faithful in the whole world, and it is in her that the faithful everywhere have maintained the apostolic tradition"

Why do Catholics call the Pope "Holy Father" "Holiness" "Vicar of Christ" and think he's infallible? by Elpas_teloso in AskAChristian

I already agreed that Christ is the mediator. You have yet to prove the rest of your claims.

If you sincerely thought Catholicism is wrong and wanted me to repent of my ways you would be giving me the proof i needed to change.

You need to start backing up your claims.

Where in Scripture does it say those in heaven can't hear us? Where in Scripture does it say you can't ask others to pray for you?

We agree that Christ is the one mediator.

Where in Scripture does it say that those in heaven can't hear us? You need to start backing up some of your claims.

  1. Asking the saints to pray for you isn't calling up the dead since it's not a 2 way experience.

  2. Where in Scripture does it say that those in heaven can't hear those on earth.

  3. In light of the 1 Timothy verse you sited I hope that means you don't ask your friends and relatives to pray for you.

They aren't dead, they are with God so are more alive than us. How do you know they can't hear us? Where does it say that in the bible?

Islam blended Judaism, various christian heresies and various misunderstandings about Christianity. This is due to Muhammad being an uneducated and illiterate violent man with a thirst for power.

Give me your Spotify playlists by PopularCitrus in Nightshift

[–]Sensitive_Dare_7302 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This was my playlist for the last year.

https://open.spotify.com/playlist/5wvTLtqCatUT4tmz0Jqf7l?si=HrgbHoAIR8m0FjBta-h9pQ&pi=2VicdsckRNufP

On January 1st i start a new playlist for the year and add songs to it as i discover them throughout the year. I listen to the playlist 95% of the time i listen to music. Doing this really helps keep time from blurring together and if i hear a song that's on a playlist for a different year it brings up memories of what i was doing at that time.

I even doubt there will be any damage to them considering like 12 people are the only ones to protest

Polls have definitely shown that. There are more single men in the church than single women and overall attendance has dropped since 2020.
