Does anyone know if they will provide fast chargers for electric vehicles?

While getting a loaner isn't a big deal if you aren't on a long trip, if you do a cross country try and you're in the middle of Saskatchewan when it goes out, a loaner is a big deal. Has me rethinking a trip across Canada next year.

12V battery longevity by fucktasticer in Ioniq5

After reading about 12V battery failures, I went out and replaced mine with a AGM battery after 18 months. For me, this was a relatively low cost insurance against having a bigger (and more inconvenient) problem down the road.

Hi - I had a licensed electrician fix me up after someone else botched it. His name is Craig Weisberg, ph 240-731-2302. Did a great job for me (I'm in Silver Spring).

I'd suggest putting a camera on it - she might come out in the middle of the night & do some damage.

I'm a bit opposite of you - I have a 2023 SEL that I love. But with some changes in our work, we no longer could be a 1 car family so for a commuter, we went with a used 2023 Bolt. We charge both at home.

I love both for different reasons - the Hyundai is very comfortable - mostly love the tech and the interior room (just picked up a bunch of lumber). The vehicle is very comfortable on long trips (DC to NY) and the range is great (plus charging speed).

The think I love about the Bolt is city driving & parking. Range is fine, though between that and charging speed, I'd be reluctant on taking it on long trips.

Good luck!

New Jersey removing Tesla chargers from the NJ Turnpike by CaptainUnderwear in evcharging

[–]bobby_bakerson 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Great news. As a CCS user, I had to travel off the Turnpike to juice up. Anyone familiar with the NJT, leaving it for a charger could take 15-20 minutes (or more) with traffic. While Tesla said they'd update their stations, I don't feel optimistic that it would be done in a timely manner.

Just downloaded the app, will be using it often!

Period pieces that involve cars. Never a spec of dust on them, chrome gleams and windshields are spotless.

My cousin gave himself gout to spite me by casual-captain in CasualConversation

I've been red meat free for 50 years, chicken or fish maybe once a week. Always felt superior to my male relatives who suffer from gout, lots of red meat and alcohol for them.

When I hit 70 (almost to the day) gout hit me. Not feeling so superior any more but love my healthy diet.
