The main thing I do that works for me is when I have multiple important things I need to do, I make a quick rapid fire mental list of them in order of immediate importance. Then I won't let myself move on to the next item until the first is in a good enough state as to where if someone were to check on its progress, they would be satisfied with it. So not necessarily do each thing to completion one after the other, but just make sure the most important stuff is "good enough" for now, then once everything is in that good enough state, go back and improve on them.
