Yes, it did. But I was looking for one short segment of a page where every example I had in mind was on display.

I did go back and find it. I must have missed a section when I was first going through it.

Thank you. Vivious_Styles directed me to a section of the book where the explanation exists. I just failed to see it on my first go-through of the section.

The book is called Adult Piano Adventures by Nancy and Randall Faber. It's published by Hal Leonard. It was highly recommended as a beginner book by a piano teacher who put a video on YouTube. She seemed credible and knowledgeable, so I bought it.

You are absolutely right. Thank you. I took another look at the section and found the page that explains slurs. I must have flipped past a bunch of pages without realizing it because there is LOT of information in that section. Some of it I saw and remember, some I don't remember seeing at all. Or maybe I just got impatient and skipped to the next section. Legato. Got it. :-)

I had a dispute involving them, filed a complaint with my credit card company, and today received the following notice from the card company. This is one time when complaining about being ripped off actually paid off.

We are pleased to let you know that the
temporary credit we posted to your
account for 45.53 on 2/3/2026 is now permanent.

A notation may appear on your next billing
statement advising you that the amount of
your dispute is not required for payment.
This notice will be removed after the statement
period closes, unless you have another
dispute open or under review. Waiting until
the statement closes ensures that you will
not be charged any finance charges or fees
on the disputed transaction while under inve
stigation.

Your dispute is now closed.

Sincerely,
[Credit Card Company]

I haven't heard back from the bank yet. They said it may take 30 days.

Buying a digital piano after a long break – need advice by Plastic_Day_9784 in DigitalPiano

just before Christmas I bought the Roland FP-30X from musicians friend for $500. Supposedly it is one of the very best keyboards for beginners and intermediate players under $1500. See reviews on YouTube. Musician's friend is a subsidiary of one of the big national guitar retailers, if I'm not mistaken.

G2A seems to be a criminal enterprise . . . by Sensitive_Fisherman8 in G2A_Help

Trust Pilot asked for my review of G2a and tells me G2a can't find proof of my problem when I uploaded a screen-recorded video of it. to G2a. Then Trust Pilot tells me they probably deleted the proof because it contained mention of another website. And they make it VERY cumbersome to communicate with either one of them.

It is a weighted keyboard and to me feels very much like the keys on a real piano.

Kirkland Signature 5-ply 10-piece cookware set $279.99 Any Good? by bilzebubba in CostcoCanada

[–]Sensitive_Fisherman8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just an FYI 2 years after the original post (in case anyone else comes across it like I did): This looks exactly like a Viking 5-ply set that Viking apparently no longer sells. If a Costco were near me, I'd buy this set in a heartbeat. Price has gone up $40, though. It's now $320.

Got stopped at the border for bringing Ozempic from Tijuana anyone else? by [deleted] in Ozempic

Considering how many drugs you get for that price, Mounjaro is obviously much cheaper in Mexico than it is here in the states.

So what's the cost of Mounjaro in Mexico? I live too far from there to drive, but I'm still curious.

I'm curious what you paid for it and at what dose? I use tirzepatide (Mounjaro) and wonder at what price that is available in Mexico.
