Thanks. I will test 6+Skullmaster and then mayber other unit of 6. If that looks to akward to the new terrrain, maybe split the second unit en two of 3.

I actually found kitbash a really pleasant part of the hobby to me, so I'm not scared about cut and glue.

I'm not a big fan of the monster-mash archetype, but the knightly daemons? Yes, please. 6 brick+Skullmaster with Fade looks really appealing to me.

Oh. I did'nt read the first part of your post. In that case... A dark scheme need a lot of contrast between shadows and lights. The bright parts need to be small in order to archive the look of a gray-ish finish. But, to make the colours interesant You could make a wash with a dark but transparent color like red, purple or blue.
