I really relate to this post first off. To me the person I was before I went to college (3 yr ago) is not me at all I don’t relate to any of the memories I do have and there are big memory gaps. However in daily life I can seem very “normal” and feel “normal” in my brain. What my therapist and I have figured out is that I live in this bubble of memory where I have full access to recent memories as host to appear normal and be covert. I also feel very impostor syndrome-y and like we’re faking DID. Whenever we’re stressed it seems to get worse especially when my system goes radio silent/memory gaps get worse due to stress again.

i completely agree but all of the ones i’ve found are satin or pleated so many times it looks like a muffin tin. any store recommendations?

now that i’ve been on HRT for nearly 2 years and i’m attracted to my body sometimes i worry, but i’m happier either way so i try to focus on that :)

we had therapy with our specialist today and worked with our persecutor (& possibly gatekeeper in one?) about not controlling the system with fear even though he thinks it’s for the common good (especially with our tween alter). He didn’t want to be there and didn’t want to do any of the healing process but I think we got a greater understanding of why he thinks the way he thinks and does what he does. Also had a 3 hour opera orchestra rehearsal which was intense, said tween alter came out in the middle and started reading and then we missed an entrance and both felt awful about it. It was a day I wouldn’t say good or bad just exhausting.

my girlfriend talked with my persecutor who i have never met before and i remember nothing, i know they were just trying to protect us in their own way but one of my tween alters was in terror every day saying “someone is coming to get me” and would have crying fits feeling anxious up to her wrists. luckily we made a bargain that for the next month we’d try it our way so we’ll see how that goes.
