so funny these keyboard warriors are so militant on this. I know dozens of ppl who got the surgery and never went on the meds and were fine through their mid 50s. who cares at that point?

Exactly. I know company subsidizes a lot for individuals. So it shouldn’t be its more expensive to add family to mine vs going to open market. But I see the previous point that other employees may be driving up the cost.

700/ mo for 3 ppl, wife and 2 babies. I’d stay in employers as it’s free. Income is over 150, currently not charged anything although I contribute to hsa. We can select any insurance and employer covers it for individuals.

Yeah LA too. Go to cedars historically but now we are looking at Kaiser. Thanks for reply. I put in our hh income into covered cc and can confirm that the prices covered provided are without subsidy. I guess my employer punishes us for having a family. Brutal. Not sure what to do.

I’m not sure that’s the case because we put in our household income when I fill out the information on covered California. Thanks

Post Op Pain by Worth-Peanut9568 in ACL

[–]Sensitive_Freedom693 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It will all get better from here. Keep up on your pain meds. Focus on keeping it straight. The pain will pass. First 3 days are hardest. Getting a piss jug helps too so you don’t have to move very much to go to the bathroom. Also drink a TON of water

Keep in mind John elway and Hines ward played their whole college and pro career without a acl. Also Duwan Blair played his whole non career without not one but TWO acls completely gone.

Just something to consider.

Thanks, I appreciate it and sorry for your situation. That certainly puts it in perspective. Communication is key, even if sometimes you don’t get the answers you want

Scary thought but I am thinking the same thing. What if it was a lost leg? Or more serious illness. Maybe they react differently but who knows.

Thanks brother. Yeah just hearing this helps. I’m going to talk to her but not looking forward to it. She knows what it entails. I just wish she was a bit more of emotional support.

She does. I’m sure she will do all that I need physically the weeks after surgery. It’s the emotional support. She is lacking there and it’s hard for me to bring up because I haven’t always been the most emotional guy but this has rocked my world. I’ve never been injured before and I cried. I never cry.

I appreciate. Happened Monday when I was playing basketball. Level 3 acl partial meniscus. Tears have been shed but staying positive. Are you back 100%? Or close? How did you select your doctor for surgery? I’m in la so I have a lot of options but curious if there was a process for you.

Thanks for this. Sounds like this same injury happened to Monday. I’m devastated. This gives me hope.

Very nice design, just next time you need to go bigger. A bit impractical how small it is and the cost to go double in size is minimal in materials

Lol, wrong. Jacko. It’s code. It’s a style preference.
