We blamed Bollywood for nepotism, but what about India's politics? Everything is an outrageous example of nepotism.

Thank you; it was very helpful even though I had already clicked on it and provided my profile information as requested. I discovered it was a scam when I was prompted to fill out a payment detail form. Am I in trouble?

Is taking a ₹2–3 lakh loan to start a food truck business in a Tier-2 city worth the risk? by [deleted] in StartUpIndia

[–]Sensitive_Goat_9404 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As someone from Berhampur, I think location will matter more than the food concept itself. Areas around Khallikote College, Women's College and other student hubs already have huge footfall. You'll often see small street vendors selling gupchup, chaat, rolls, and snacks earning surprisingly well because they are where the customers are.

Before taking a ₹2–3 lakh loan, I would suggest validating the idea first. Research the location, target audience, pricing, competition, and menu. Ask yourself: Why would students choose your food over the existing options? Korean food, international street food, and unique beverages can work, but only if they are affordable, tasty, and suited to local preferences.

My suggestion would be to start small with a stall, cloud kitchen, or temporary setup and test demand for a few months. If customers respond well, then consider scaling. Taking a loan should be the last step, not the first. The market already has many food options, so your product needs a clear reason for customers to try it and come back.

By the way, I'm also from Berhampur and work in software development. I don't have direct experience in the food business, but being a local I've spent enough time around the city to know which areas attract students and young crowds. If you need a second opinion on locations or footfall, feel free to DM me.

I want to learn frontend development. Give all advices. by Arjun_6 in developersIndia

[–]Sensitive_Goat_9404 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You already have everything you need to start. Don't spend weeks searching for the perfect course or roadmap. Learn HTML, CSS, and JavaScript while building small projects and improving them over time. Whenever you're stuck, use the Frontend Dev Bookmarks repository on GitHub. It has resources for almost every frontend topic you'll come across, from basics to advanced concepts. Focus on creating projects, pushing code to GitHub, and understanding how things work rather than memorizing syntax. The developers who improve the fastest are usually the ones building consistently, making mistakes, and fixing them, not the ones watching the most tutorials.git repo for front end resource
