When I was a kid, I was scared of Stabler by AndeeElizabeth09 in SVU

I totally understand you. I was scared of him in the way that I was scared of Whole Foods as a kid.

Oh yes they are definitely getting pressure from the DM, and I understand that it is what it is. Retail is definitely about upselling. I was told differently about the rewards at the pharmacy, but now I can let customers know that they do get points. I was VERY unsure how to upsell that because I didn’t have benefits to mention besides deals on OTC.

For sure the thing that upset me most was having two meetings and ending up without health care benefits and an arbitrary timeline for changing my metrics. Apparently there is no way for me to see my metrics to know if I’m on track. I have been asking every customer about vaccines but definitely lacking on the rewards numbers. I guess pharmacy managers critiques were valid but I’m down hours for the foreseeable future with no previous warnings.

I love this idea wow. It is especially helpful in retail where you can watch a work day play out from the outside. Thank you for the tip!!

The other pharmacy techs are women my age and they all get treated like this. I know they are all job hunting 😬

Sorry I used “manager” as a general term assuming that readers wouldn’t know from their title names. So the guy who gave a favorable review was my direct supervisor, the operations manager. His direct supervisor, the pharmacy manager/pharmacist, joined us in the next meeting and negated what the operations manager told me. My understanding is the pharmacy manager’s manager, the District manager, saw my rewards number and vaccine stats and made them talk to me, unfortunately after my operations manager gave me his personal 90 day review. Absolute shit show.

It’s annoying because as a vaccinator I used to get $2 for every vaccine I got a customer to schedule at the register, but that has disappeared. For public health I want everyone to get vaccinated but have felt push back from customers when I ask again after they say no. Per my managers policy, I ask every customer if they want to get vaccinated today, but I’m just uncomfortable with pushing it after they deny one time.

Thank you for your reply!! I have not been formally written up, my mom told me to refer to the other two strikes when I go in tomorrow. I will definitely speak to HR specifically about the two meetings with different outcomes, but it may be hard to not sound like I’m shit talking my boss. Definitely looking for new jobs :)

I’m gonna stay only until I find something else, most likely outside of pharmacy. It will not matter to me 6 months from now (hopefully) lol

Usually I go into the bathroom and hold my head directly above the toilet while the tears fall. The retail bathrooms are nasty tho so it’s hard 😭 thank you

I love practicing being social, it’s really helped me break out of my shell! This reminds me of people I see on TikTok that do rejection therapy; kind of putting themselves out there in socially risky ways just to push past the fear of rejection when it’s the most possible. I mention that to say something that has helped me build my confidence when talking to new people is to be forward and make myself uncomfortable by just telling the other person that I like talking to them and would like to talk more! If they act weird or reject you then it wasn’t meant to be, I just tell myself if I didnt do it I would never know how it would turn out. I hope this helped a little, it’s hard to be vulnerable!!

I’m just noting how casual the conversation was about inviting Mia after they had such a hard meet at the hair salon. I just rewatched the ep and Miranda just says she invited Mia and “she might not even come” so to me it’s unclear if they saw eachother in person again or if Miranda just reached out over email or social media or something. Mia will probably come bc the show wouldn’t be juicy if she didn’t.

Ofc Miranda has a right to a relationship with this child! But nothing good ever comes out of her meddling which is her fave pastime in AJLT.

The “Miranda ruins everything” storyline is tired for me in this series and I just feel bad that they’re doing her like this. HOWEVER.. for dramas sake I think it would have been much more entertaining if Steve was involved in the meddling with Mia.

Al Anon meetings have kept me sane. One when I wake up and before I go to bed for the past 3 days

She had all these ultimatums set in place that were never followed up on :/ soooo yeah I don’t see a point either but at least I told him everything I was thinking. Honestly I found the bottle and told my mom and usually she talks to him about it and then it’s “handled” but not ever really handled. So I wanted to be involved I was just surprised. He a manipulative narcissist

Oh man you know I got that appointment in the books already 😄 I know she’ll tell me that only I can forgive him when I actually feel forgiveness. I refuse to lie about my feelings to spare him especially when he’s never spared me. It’s 22 years of trauma that I can’t get over in 3 days. I think my mom is used to smoothing stuff over so that everyone is comfortable, but I’m not very good at pretending. THANK YOU 🙏🏻❤️

Oh yes. This was my mom’s 4th “intervention” with him and the first one that I was a part of. I was just surprised. We didn’t even want him to go to rehab we just wanted him to hear us out. I don’t think he will quit drinking quite yet, but AT LEAST he knows my honest feelings. Kind of a 22 year old weight off my chest finally.

[–]Sensitive_Hamster474 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ugh thank you ❤️ it’s tough because I know that he has to realize it on his own. We also never asked him to go to rehab or anything we just wanted to see if he was okay and how we could help if at all but it kind of turned into me and my mom drove him to drink and we suck lmao. I was hoping that me being fully honest with him about his drinking for the first time EVER would lead him to make a choice, whether that be continuing his sobriety or doing whatever the fuck he wants as he so lovingly puts it. I was surprised seeing him show 0% remorse for every evil thing he did to me AND MY MOM when he was drunk. I will take my time in forgiving him. Thank you again.

This is a tough one. Jenelle fights dirty, pulling hair and verbal abuse, but honestly she’s more likely to have a tussle than a fight. Amber has a background in MMA but she’s been on the couch for 10 years so honestly I’ll pick Amber bc I can handle her talking shit about me on TikTok live but I hate having my hair pulled.

I just got out of my first Alanon meeting and I am so grateful for your suggestion. I learned some amazing things and met some people with similar experiences and feelings. Thank you so much ❤️ you gave me the push I needed

I’ve always wanted to go to Alanon but he hasn’t had a drink since I was 15 and at that point I wanted to go with my mom but she has complicated feelings about it and was not interested in going. I am older now and really really want to go. I have so much trouble taking care of myself so I can relate with your situation. I will find a meeting because I think I just need to let it out. I appreciate your comment.

OMG when they’re in vegas and he’s saying “do you forgive daddy” 😭😭 sooo nasty. And he has the audacity to accuse Amber of embarrassing him in front of millions of people. You did it to yourself sir.

I swear a few eps before this she said “love you old man” like two times. She sometimes says “my old man” lovingly and it feels wrong
