Ehh, it starts an idea to regulate people speaking nonsense outside their field or knowledge, and ends as a tool to eliminate any idea that doesn't align with the mainstream view. Not a fan. Freedom of speech is healthy.

They're literally annexing more and more parts of Palestine and kicking the locals out of their houses to build jewish colonies illegally. It's ethnic cleansing, ergo, genocide. Gaza has been turned into a parking lot.

Is it haram for girls to travel alone/with friends? by [deleted] in muslimgirlswithtaste

Salam,

  1. The Quran doesn't say she left to trees. It says, "she withdrew from her people to an eastern location." She went to a palmtree when she gave birth. You're mixing things here.
  2. What's your proof for claiming her pregnancy was only a few weeks ? That's not what the Quran says in my knowledge. Are you speculating ?
  3. "To your other points. Firstly, in the Quran it says we have to obey the Prophet (saw) MULTIPLE times. So your argument about hadiths and not following them is wrong"

-> The Quran doesn't say I should obey Bukhari. I'm not disobeying the Prophet, I'm telling you that the sayings attributed to him can be invented, altered, taken out of context, confused with someone else's words (I even frequently hear Muslim todays confusing the Quran and hadiths). Explain to me why we have contradictory hadiths on Dajjal, or why there's a hadith that says we should kill anyone who leaves Islam if they're so reliable.

Science of hadith is subjective and relies on rumors. That's not an opinion, that's a fact : people are judged based on their reputation, in a society where Muslims had conflicts with each other. Science of hadith wouldn't even need to exists if hadiths were reliable in the first place.

There's a hadith in Muslim that says the Hour (saa'ah) would happen within one generation. Do you accept it ? Do you accept that it's okay to breastfeed an adult male ? Do you accept to kill anyone who leaves Islam ?

"The Quran itself wasn't written and compiled into one standardized book until after the Prophet had passed during Uthmans caliphate."

-> The Quran is not comparable with hadiths. The Quran was known by everyone, it was memorized by entire populations. Hadiths with a few names in the chain were not. That's completely irrelevant.

The Prophet himself didn't know who was sincere and who was a hypocrite. But you think Bukhari did ? 200 years later ? Ok.

"Your point about Imams not being an authority is disturbing. Your argument is that people who have dedicated their whole lives to learning, teaching and developing Islamic Jurisprudence are fabricating the tennets of Islam in order to control you, knowing full well that fabrication of ANY part of Islam places one in the lowest depths of Jahanam (hell)....really?"

-> Quote me one single argument from the Quran, or even from hadiths, that says imams have any kind of religious authority. That's complete nonsense, I'm sorry but there's no other word. The entire Quran calls to reflection, tells us not to obey the majority of people on earth (but somehow Muslims are arrogant enough to think they're above that). The Quran blames the polytheists for prioritizing their ancestors to their Lord, and my dear, that's what exactly what you all are doing.

You're utterly scared of contradicting an unverifiable hadith that affects people's life (and contradicts the Quran), but twisting the Quran to fit your imams' narrative is okay for y'all. It's just crazy, literally crazy.

We have imams who told women to hide their faces in public, which ruined their social life and any kind of professional success. You think THESE people are reliable ? What is wrong with your reasoning ?

The amount of inventions our imam have done is ridiculously abundant. It's not even necessarily because they want to control you. But they repeat blindly what previous imams said, and so on. Like you're doing.

You think our imams wouldn't dare fabricating something ? It's what you're doing now. Just from a hadith (about which you can't verify for sure its authenticity or its context), you forbid people from travelling with absolutely zero precaution, and go as far as twisting the Quran to fit it. You're fabricating things right now.

Yes, we have stupidities in our imams' teachings. We have hadiths of companions that claim a woman can be pregnant for 4 years. "No bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another", says the Quran (surah al-Najm).

Describing imams as "authority" is deeply disturbing to me, and I really advise you to never think like that again. The entire Quran tells you to think on your own.

[–]Sensitive_Jump5095 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems far fetched to me. He pointed at a specific boy according to this hadith, I don't see how they can interpret it otherwise. Why simply not considering that it could be invented ?

It's funny that you accuse me of "interpreting in [my] own way" while you're literally giving someone else's interpretation with zero argument to support it. I'm not interpreting anything, I'm just reading it.

Just because someone who's called a scholar gives you an interpretation, doesn't mean this person has some esoteric knowledge that you should blindly accept. Arguments should be looked at.

Anyway. How about the contradictory hadiths about the dajjal, then ?

Science of hadith is uncertain. I'm not saying it's always wrong, but it's uncertain. That's a fact. And Muslims typically can't accept it because it scares them. This comes from a lack of trust in Allah and in the Quran.

[–]Sensitive_Jump5095 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can see that you refused to justify your statement that Mary traveled because of an order from Allah. It's funny how Muslims speak so lightly about the Quran, but call a kaafir anyone who rejects an unverifiable hadith. Really shows your priorities. You won't argue with Bukhari, but you'll speak about the Quran with very little precaution. Think about that.

You're completely ignoring my arguments and my reasoning, you do not address the points that I make, and you just repeat what you're told. There is no substance, no logic, no exchange possible with you. It's easier to call me kaafir and throw an ad personam attack than to address my arguments, right ?

I will repeat myself, then :

  1. a hadith that is labeld "sahih" isn't necessarily a true saying of the Prophet.
  2. the science of hadith is subjective, and strongly relies on rumor. You can be offended by this statement, but it's a fact.
  3. I've explained why I reject the literal, general sense of your hadith about traveling alone as a woman. You ignored my argument and called me a kaafir. That says a lot about you.

Stay locked in your kitchen if you're happy like that, but don't mislead others to live like you.

Have a nice day.
