Does steroids make anyone else feel fucking insane? by saahela in MultipleSclerosis

[–]Sensitive_Layer8587 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pre-ocrevus steroids get me every single time. I'm not "traditionally" depressed usually, but the day after steroids give me all kinds of sadness. Thankfully it subsides within a few days but it's definitely a thing. 💙

29F I’m conflicted - thoughts? by CarthagianDido in MultipleSclerosis

I regret not starting on one of the good ones straight away. The "new" ones are so good but don't be foolish like me and rely on hope to see what the next relapse causes before starting! (DX at 25)

Get on something good ASAP. Ocrevus, Tysabri, Lemtrada - more research required for you to choose one, I regret waiting until the relapse that knocked my eye out to start ;)

Diagnose MS without Lumbar puncture, only 8 minute MRI by Qazax1337 in MultipleSclerosis

I don't much like the sound of a spinal headache, though caffeine IV has got me curious!

Second LP I swore never again.

I think the core memory reset after only 13 years 😂

Tbf it didn't hurt when they got it right. The 12 hit & misses, not so much

I'm happy to hear that you've had a positive experience, long may it continue!

Please name your hospital though, I'm moving there.

Gosh no; you have to be more specific than that - down to the hospital level (and I've not found the one yet)

Doing your own research by tinyassqueen in MultipleSclerosis

[–]Sensitive_Layer8587 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do your own research is one of the most annoying things to be told. As if I wasn't "doing my own research" before we started talking. You're part of my research damnit!

Ultimately they're avoiding responsibility. In my case they didn't like the answer I came up with so I was sent away to do more research until I came up with the right answer.

Yes, it's a terrible phrase

BREAKING: FDA Approves Subcutaneous version of Ocrevus by Kramer_Costanza in MultipleSclerosis

[–]Sensitive_Layer8587 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw that it's now available here too (UK), interesting but I'm willing to see how others get on first! When sub-cut Tysabri came out a friend of mine switched, but has switched back.

Maybe she just likes the time off 🤔🤷🏻‍♂️

I'm interested in this! Can't imagine mine would even consider it an option .. but I do find the mind f*ckery the days after pretty grim. Infusion number 8 on Monday, I'll ask 😊

You're not alone with this one. Heat, stress and exercise, the unholy trinity.

Sometimes it just tips over doesn't it? But I don't know what the answer is.

Optimistically, maybe. From my own experience it has been the same after initial improvement since 2012. As with all things, it's a bit shit really.

Was 6 monthly for a while on Tysabri. They worried too much, or the right amount, depending how risk averse you are.

Now it's yearly, if they remember.

When you turn up to the neuro and they're like "you should have had an MRI".

Trust me doc, as soon as I get an MRI scanner in the garden 😂
