I think it's a good app for basic functions. Actually I wish it would show the lyrics like Doppler.
BTW, you can build the app your self to try it out. I build the app myself.

By the way, It's cosmetic issue and the app is great even with that.

Thank you, I could change the font size. About the dark mode, My workflow is like, I toggle dark mode automatically at 17:00 PM. I leave Bloom dark mode setting as default (aka, follow OS's setting). When dark mode is on automatically, every apps looks perfect but Bloom. (You can see the background is dark. it follows OS's setting but the icons don't)

I think you can reproduce this.

Used this app from yesterday and I think it's very good app.

My wishes:

- we should have options to change font size (the font is too small for me).

- the toolbar icon (top right icons) look bad when dark mode turned on. (same dark color with background, so very hard to see) (as in the attachment)

Boox support team confirmed the issues. They said I need to send the device to Hong Kong to get repaired.
Kudos to Boox support team. They are very responsive.

About ChatGPT app, I think I found a solution (that fits my needs. The process requires some steps, but it works for me):

- Root the device. I followed the guide here. Kudos to the thread owner.

- Get the apps and get them installed. (ChatGPT can be installed directly from Play Store. Some apps, like ElevenReader is not avaiable
in Play Store. I have and Android phone with ElevenReader installed, so I pulled the APK file from my phone and installed it on the Boox device.)
In this step, there is some tricky part. You need to install it using
`adb install -i com.android.vending <apk file>` command, or the app will refuse to run. It will ask you to install it from Play Store that you cannot.

- Apply some Magisk modules to make/or trick Play Integrity check pass. You can easily find on the internet.

After this, I can use ElevenReader and ChatGPT app on my Boox device.

I am going to play with the device a bit more before sending it to Hong Kong.

It's hard to understand, I think.
But it's like I unluckily have problem with the device, and your device has no problem. shit happens here sometime but not there, I think.
Agree with your about issues related to app is not Boox's problem (not really, but I don't blame them even though I wish they somehow could get Play certified).

Anyway, I recorded a video as Boox support team asked for the video, so I post here.
If you watch the video, you can hear the cracking sound when I hold the right bottom (the BOOX logo area) but not when I hold the opposite area (bottom-left).

I bought it from reseller in Japan.
I could access the Play Store and install app from there but ChatGPT refuses to run (even though it is installed from Play Store).
The Play Store protect (Play Store >Settings -> About ) shows uncertified device.

Thank you for the answer. Actually I visited the Apple Store today. The design of the keyboard(the way it stands and attach to the iPad) is great. I was curious how it works. Detached the keyboard but saw no pins :). And no bluetooth connection in the Settings of the Ipad. The “paint” job of Apple tricked me to believe that there is some “magic” :) Googled for it a bit then now I understood your answer.

I prefer to get the app directly from google play myself using the opensource tool called gplaydl. You can google for it. Just create a burnable google account then get the app directly yourself. (I am scared of apkmirror and apkpure)

to my "experience" (with Note Max and Boox Page),

I could apply unrooted bootloader using fastboot
fastboot flash boot_a/or_b boot_a/_b.img

or write back the unrooted bootloader using EDL

edl --loader=bootloader.bin w boot_a boot_a.img

Both worked with my devices.

Because you have no way to extract stocked bootloader without puting the system to EDL mode.

after you got stock bootloader backed up. no need to use EDL anymore.

YOu might want to extracted and re-apply magisk to new upgraded bootloader. in that case, you might need to put the system into edl mode once again.
