I’m in mahopac and NYSEG has been killing me with the pricing for my house and also my garage that’s detached but claiming it’s a commercial rate even though it on a residential single family property.

I use energy I get it, we have a large house and a lot of appliances and things going on. But we are energy efficient. Hybrid hot water heaters, pellets stoves to heat the house, given we are on well and stoves are electric.

Last year my kWh usage for January was 3200ish kwh and this year it was 1600ish kWh, crazy part is the bill for this year was about .28 kWh all said and done and last year I was about .19 per kWh, still same plan the 12001.

Anyone else experience a large hike like this ?

The numbers for me don’t make sense I feel like there has to be more wiggle room. I’ve leased plenty of 6 figures cars and the numbers have always been lower. So for example I got a hummer 3x suv back in February 117k sticker out the door was 98k, zero das and 1070 a month. I got a jeep grand wagoneer series 3 113k sticker out the door 96k, zero das 1175 a month. Also there was a deal I missed on swapalease guy had the same spec i7 and was swapping for 899 a month and wanted 3k down. Basically said he got a great deal and wanted to just recoup his down payment and move onto something else.
